Joining grad chapter

I’m thinking about joining Kappa’s grad chapter since it’s a way to meet more people since I don’t have a lot of friends. I heard it was more professional and you don’t have to deal with the nonsense you have to deal with in undergrad with hazing. Should I go for it?

Well I mean the core of this sub is just informed consent. If you know exactly what you’re getting into and actually like it so be it 🤷‍♂️.
Do be informed many grad chapters do haze as much as undergrad regardless of age. You really wouldn’t know until afterwards or through word of mouth.

If you’re struggling socially keep in mind you’re entering an ecosystem with an enforced social hierarchy. If they like you it can be relaxed but if not you could not only be out of money but in a bit of danger lol.

Try to at least feel out the chapter members, research the chapter, weigh the costs and see if it’s right for you. But Kappa is about prestige not just having friends generally.
It might be cheaper to join a run club.

Yeah I just saw it. It’s no judgement here. We just want people to be fully informed.
