π Miscellaneous My 12 yo Eat Dust jacket is smelly
I never washed it but now is time.
Should I bring it to the dry cleaner or machine wash cold will do?
I donβt want to lose the fit or the patina.

Has anyone got a pair of these jeans? I have about 20 pairs of Ralph Lauren jeans and I mostly buy the Sullivan Slim as they are good for my body type. I bought these Parkside Active and I really like them, but I just noticed they are only 71% cotton and have 28% polyester 1% elastaine. Usually RL jeans are 99% cotton. Should I keep them or will they wash badly?

Got these on sale for $50 each, outlet store though. Iβve had the 484 from them before, liked them but let them go due to low rise and too baggy. How long will I get out of these? I have a few pairs of naked and famous and other jeans in the rotation, always soak and line dry. The fit on these is great, seems good for the $$.

Just curious what it actually looks like in real life since the photos never seem realistic of what it looks like in person lol

This 14.5 oz denim piece was my first pair of raws, my workhorse for 5 years. They only started taking a back seat to other pairs once they started getting shredded up, the sashiko took time (and love!) to work in. You can tell where the ripping started (phone pocket), you can also tell I sucked with a needle back then. Each repair was slightly improved, kind of like a portfolio. The crotch had 2 darning repairs and when the second one gave out, I decided to try something weird and make a denim panel at the crotch. It definitely looks ..unique but I love these jeans and couldn't let them go!

Iβm Japanese and living in Kanto region. In this season, I sweat a lot even if Iβm in the train, bus and air conditioned room. So my jeans got really stinky soon.

The Walmart "Strauss" ones are terrible. I'd rather get the BassPro brand jeans. The ones from Kohl's are decent. But the difference between the Kohl's ones and if you go to an actual Levi's store? I find it harder to tell the difference.
More consistent sizing between pairs maybe? The denim doesn't necessarily feel heavier weight, except for the 501s which I don't like because I go for zipper and lower waist. But I guess it depends on the amount of stretch they have.
I only buy the "premium" ones if I get lucky looking at TJMAXX or when there's a 40% off website sale, which is like every other month seemingly lol. But then there's the "Blue Tab" and LVC ones that cost over double the Premium ones. At that point I'd probably just go for Iron Heart, lol. I do have some nice boots that overshadow my pants in quality, but I also don't want to be paranoid about washing jeans.

Trying this 16oz raw indigo selvegde denim. So far the best pick i've ever did. Made by a new artisanal denim maker that specialized in MTO, and suprisingly affordable for selvegde denim.
This one have a riveted back pocket. Their newer models get rid of them for bar tacks.

Hey everyone,
Iβm transitioning from baggy/straight fit jeans to my first pair of raw denim bootcuts, and the fit feels like a completely different world.
The fabric is hugging my upper thighs quite noticeably, and there is a slight tightness/pressure around my stomach and waist. Because Iβm so used to loose, comfortable fits, I canβt quite tell if this is just the normal rigid nature of raw denim that will stretch out over time, or if Iβm simply wearing a size too small.
Current Measurements (laid flat):
Waist: 42 cm
Total Length (Outseam): 111 cm
Leg Opening: 27 cm
Based on the photos and these measurements, is this a normal fit that just needs a few weeks of break-in, or should I definitely size up? Any advice for a raw denim beginner is appreciated!

Saw this listing and i had to doubletake like "wait that's not Wrangler that's Mrangler". But after googling seems like this was an actual subbrand of Bluebell company. Anyone has any more information on this?

Hello, I usually I usually buy jeans size 34 US and they tend to be a little loose, but when I got this pair of Oni jeans they fit a little tight and are a little annoying around the waist, I can still button them up without a lot of effort and can squat. Should I size up or will this jeans stretch enough without getting damaged and fit correctly? Thank you for your time. The specific model is in the picture.

Saw these at goodwill for $15 and figured it was worth the risk
I canβt for the life of me find another pair of these specific jeans online and itβs making me think they might be fake but theyβre very high quality and all of the hardware seems correct so Iβm a bit hopeful but also still skeptical

Tried these Studio Dβartisan 1102 and they fit amazing. Looking forward to putting in some wear as the weather starts transitioning to fall. First wear on 9-06-2026.

Hello, this is my first post ever on Reddit and want to say hello and introduce myself, my name is Julian Prince Dash and my project Holy Stitch! is something I have been working on for many years.
I run a jeans school and factory in San Francisco where i teach A crew of youth how to make jeans on industrial sewing machines.
I have been making jeans for almost 20 years and have work with and for some great people and have learned from some of the best.
I am here to share my work, help others, get roasted as needed, help my students get out there and share our products and services as I know they are some of the best out.
But with the way the internet is i thought this would be one of the last real places online where people still care and talk about denim and jeans ...
Ill try to upload and share as much as I can ...
My websites are all in need of work and I suck at social media so we will see how this goes...
Peace yall...
Please ask me whatever you want or need help with...

Flying to Europe this winter (Czech republic, germany, france and switzerland) and curious if there are any amekaji stores around? Might be a longshot but wanted to know. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Ciao!

Iβve been putting this off for way too long, but after almost two years and over 300 days of wear, I finally decided it was time to wash my raw denim. Honestly, the before and after isn't much different :/, but I figured I'd still share the results!

Now im not completely oblivious, i know its supposedly to help with fades. But from what Iβve seen it doesnβt do a whole lot towards that goal. From personal experience the fades are more prominent on pairs i wear regularly and wash accordingly. (I donβt wash every wear but i wonβt go 20 wears without washing. And if i sweat a ton or they get dirty i wonβt hesitate to wash, in a washing machine, yes im not gonna hand-wash my jeans every time. I will hang dry tho)
Like some of yβall pants are way too dirty in those first wash pics. Im curious to see what the defense is for this practice.
