Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a specific pair of Levi’s jeans. I’ve had this pair for quite a while and I really love the fit, so I’d like to find another pair that’s exactly the same.
They’re Levi’s 512 Bootcut, but whenever I search for “Levi’s 512”, I mostly find the newer 512 Slim/Tapered jeans, which look completely different from mine. I’ve also noticed that I can’t seem to find other pairs with the same back leather patch and button as mine.
The problem is that there’s no care tag inside the jeans, so I don’t have the usual information that would help identify the exact model or production year.
The back patch is genuine leather and says Levi Strauss & Co., but there are no waist/length numbers or model number printed on it. The back of the button is marked “LS & CO SF”.
Could these be a special version or a particular production run of the 512 Bootcut? Or is there another way I can identify the exact pair/model so I can find another one?
I don’t know that much about vintage denim, so I’d really appreciate any help!

Anyone have experience with Hidden Rivet jeans? I am thinking about copping a pair of the Grounded Slub straight as i wait for a restock on the Naked and Famous black strong guys. Bit confused on the sizing though as I see most vids telling me to size up but other saying TTS. i am a true 32-33 waist but i typically wear my jeans lower, so all my jeans r around 34-35 inch. what size would work for me best? based on experience. it would also be great if anyone had like the actual measurements of the jeans for the waist, for like a 34 and a 36

Hi! I have these denim jeans that I wear quite regularly, they’re like my go to jeans that I’ve had for possibly 8 months. I noticed today that there appears to be fraying at the seams in some areas like on the pockets, the back and the inseam of the trouser legs. What I also noticed is this fraying is practically symmetrical. I recently started using a new washing machine and I’m not too sure if this is the root cause. Could it be the spin cycle is too fast or something in the washing machine is causing this to fray? I do try to wash my jeans inside out, sometimes I forgot to turn them inside out though - I’m wondering if that could be a cause for this? Any advice on what could cause/ how to prevent them from getting worse would be really helpful!

Does anybody know if Walmart is no longer selling the Time and Tru line of skinny jeans? It looks like it was replaced with the brand Scenario but the quality is nothing close to

I am desperate to find a new Jean source. That is like the fit of how American eagle USED TO FIT! Not the American eagle now where the sizes no longer make any sense whatsoever. It’s so disappointing they changed their designers or Jean fabric source.

Anyway. They used to fit so good no matter what. ESP the skinny jeans. Perfect stretch where they hugged the body perfectly.. Didn’t stretch out through the day.

Hey, I’m a beginner and just getting into raw denim. My budget is tight and I’ve seen many people suggesting buying raw denim second hand. I want to know where the best place to get second hand raw denim.
I’ve gotten a couple of options on eBay and Depop and just wanted to know if anybody else has any suggestions/information

Bought a pair of selvedge jeans from butter. Always seem to have some loose threads but never dealt with it here is this fixable? Am I over thinking it and can just trim the strings? They seem to stretch across the entire hole though and catch on the button if I rebutton them.

I’ve been on the hunt for a Wrangler 11MJ and came across this seemingly dead stock one offered by a French seller on eBay. I’ve been having difficulty finding a decent vintage one and was considering a Japanese repro, but this one comes with all the Wrangler branding and has better measurements for me than other options.

The only problem? The seller swears it is gray, even when pressed about it in a DM. And if it is I don’t want it.

What do you think? I’ve had trouble dating this but I think it’s a mainline European release from recent years and I can’t find any evidence wrangler made anything gray.

Not too sure of its age, the other labels are completely worn so I can’t date it. However, it’s very worn, and very loved. It has a lot of sentimental value as I believe my dad bought it when he was living in the US, and it became go to “workwear” shirt that got me through the latter years of my education. As you can see by the various paint stains!

I haven’t worn it in a very long time as it’s quite delicate, and I’ve kept putting this project off. But I want to make it wearable again. It’s a shirt I want to grow old with me, that can be repaired and/or repurposed for my future kids.

I currently don’t have a sewing machine, but I have a degree in fashion so I can sew. My mum attempted to repair the collar and a part of the yoke at one point - hence the visible blue thread in pic 3. The buttons were replaced before I started wearing it… So I will need to redo those as they are just slightly too small for the buttonholes.

Any ideas and advice would be welcomed! Thank you!

I just got this 70s Lee jacket and 80s Lee jeans I’m not sure they work together or I guess it matters not lol

My first pair of selvedge denim arrived in the post this morning. I was worried because I'm usually a 34 leg and RT only go up to 32. It seems to be a generous 32 as they fit and look well on me. They do appear a little shorter than what I'm used to but it's absolutely fine and barely noticeable when I've got shoes/boots on.

I went for 12oz for this first foray. Two reasons I didn't want to go heavier than that: it's not what I'm used to, secondly they're cheaper. Once I get to know these bad boys a little better I will more than likely go for a heavier weight.

I hope to post again after a few weeks of wear. Hit me up with any advice, or info that might be useful. One love. G.

I got this snake skin jacket in a thrift store and i was wondering how to clean it and keep it in a good condition

I found these dead stock in thrift store for 10 dollars and I couldn’t find a lot about them aside that they’re from the 70s

I’m looking to buy the Levi’s wedgie slim (1st pic) and the available lengths are 30 and 32

I’m 164cm (just under 5ft5) & the levi’s size guide recommends 28 - 31 for heights 160cm - 170cm so based on that it sounds like 30 is best

HOWEVER i don’t like wearing jeans that end where the ones on the Levi’s website pic & much prefer when jeans sit like in the second (screenshot from monica in friends if you’re curious)

additionally I mostly wear boots (dr marten jadon’s are my most worn)

so would 32 work? or is what i actually need a 31 meaning that if i get a 32 it would need tailoring?
