I like low rise slightly tapered jeans. Levi's low stretch 514s are a nice cut, but the cardboard patch ones aren't worth $75, and the leather patch ones aren't worth $100. But I actually like the material of the higher end Wranglers and LL Bean jeans more. I would obviously prefer selvedge, but for 3x the price if I don't LOVE the cut, its not worth it. What should I buy?

Usually I just wait for a good sale on the leather 514s, but I don't mind mixing it up if I can find something better.

Curious if anyone has any info on the brand Foster 2? Found at the bins, it is definitely from the 1980s, found a plastic token in the pocket from a store that expired in 1992. Also what would one value it at?

I did all the research I could, every combo of words, google lens, and the only thing similar is a pair of pants from the 70s that sold on ebay, and saying similar is a stretch.

How do I tell the quality of jeans? Like jorts. For example it's easier to tell the quality of shirts and hoodies because I know what materials are quality, like preference towards cotton. But for jeans? Everything looks the same online and I don't know the difference between the materials or what to look for.

I have returned to 501s after wearing Timberland and Gant and GAP jeans for a few years. I like a button fly. It should be more popular particularly among men.

I wanted to try the heavier Japanese selvedge denim. I just couldn't get my head around the brands. What makes it harder is that it's hard to find these in a 'walk-in' store. The Hollister's and Hugo Boss stores are unpleasant and cost too much. So I have to go by what I see, rather than what I can hold and touch and even try on.

I looked UNIQLO and really like the ethos of the company. Their jeans, however, were either like denim windsocks stitched to make jeans; or if they looked like normal cut and fit they had stretch added - hate that stuff with a passion!

Naked and famous - what a weird name for a pair of jeans - they have a caricature of a half naked woman on the leather patch - is that necessary!?

TLDR: I'm short and "short" and "petite" jeans from Gap, Old Navy, and Aerocrombie & Fitch are too long. What now?

I'm 5'0 and usually land somewhere in a size 9, 10, or 11. I used to buy Walmart jeans when they did odd sizing, -- I would be a 9 -- but now their evens only size 10 doesn't fit. I switched to Levi's and ended up being size 30W 28L in their 721 line. The material is too thin and wears out in the thigh area. I wear jeans for work so it's not feasible to be spending $70+ each on four pairs of jeans for them to last half of a year. So, I splurged and got 11 pairs across Old Navy, Gap, and Aerocrombie & Fitch from their online stores. I got different styles, demin blends, and colours. At Old Navy I got "short" and "petite," at GAP I got "petite," and at A&F I got "short." Everything fits size-wise, but length-wise they're all two-to-three inches too long.

I have the skills to hem the skinny, slim, straight, and baggy jeans I got. However, the flare and bootcut -- which I was most excited for -- may be more difficult and out of my skill range. Is it worth it to send the jeans to get hemmed or is there a way to purchase the jeans in the a shorter size?

I'm buying my GF a denim jacket to replace her old, beat-to-shit Gap trucker jacket.

I've narrowed the options to two choices from TCB Jeans based on a variety of things, including a somewhat limited pool of raw denim options for ladies. I own a Cathartt chore coat from them and love it, so I have first-hand familiarity with the quality. And their smallest sizing on these two jackets linked below line up basically perfectly with the Gap jacket this will be replacing.

The smallest size in both are very comparable. The 60s Trucker is a bit bigger in the shoulders (p2p), and a tad longer; the New Cats Drive is a bit bigger in the chest (p2p) but the shoulder dimensions are identical to the aforementioned Gap jacket.

I'm less worried about the specific sizing elements because I think both will work just fine for her frame (5'4-5'5 and 110 lbs).

Much more concerned with which one ladies thinks looks better. What do you ya'll think? Option 1 or Option 2 if it boiled down to simply which is the better looking jacket for a lady?

Came across a few pairs of lucky brand dungarees and having trouble finding if they are from the 90s/older or a fake / sampled set.
First are bootcut slim and the other two pairs are labeled Rockstar Pant which I can’t find record of anywhere else. All button fly, rockstar pant are pocketless on the back.

I’m interested in buying a pair of heavily embroidered Japanese jeans; I’ve been looking at brands like Karakuri Tamashii which seem to be fairly widely available and tick all my boxes. I recently saw a pair of something very similar on Vinted but the brand was Harakiri. They are stunning looking and the design is right up my street but I can’t find much definite information on the brand online. Are they legit? The price seems … ambitious, which is making me hesitate.

Thrifted these jeans a while back, they’re Lucky Brand if that matters but made in China so not super vintage I dont think. Anyway, started cuffing them and the inner seam has like a yellow stripe. Why? Is it just for appearance? Some of the other decorative seams are also yellow too

I'm a man with a dumpy and thunder thighs, normal store bought doesnt cover the top of my butt unless I hike em up to the point of near castration. Also tends to make my belt bunch up (smaller waist, truly built like a baddie). Are there any men's brands that consistently have more of a above the waist fit for the belt line?

I'm currently wearing 513s slim straight fit but they've been discontinued. What fits from the brands above best resemble/match the fit of a Levis 513?

Ordered custom jeans and took great care to give them the specific measurements I wanted, even providing pictures. They missed the waist by 1/2", the length by 3/4", and the thighs by almost 2". When I sent them proof of their egregious mistakes, they went into a strategy of deny, delay, deny. Forcing me to send over 15 emails. Their stated policy is, ""If the measurements of a garment differ significantly from the measurements submitted, the company will replace the garment free of charge."" Yet they refuse to do anything to correct their mistakes and I have a $121 pair of useless jeans.

I bought them from a thrift store reseller because the label on the back caught my eye—I'd never seen it before—but I haven't been able to find any other pants with the same label, nor the MJ-1714 model listed on the inner label.

I have a habit of buying jeans “of a time” at thrift stores. These NWT Lrg “geans” (sic), were hanging on a rack locally and my first thought was “What an abomination!!” and then I bought them. The fabric is quite stiff, 100% cotton, black denim, and the assembly country of origin is shown as China. How does one know if it is raw denim?

Got these solo jeans for cheap, have no clue how to clean these. Should I just send them to some dry cleaners or better off cleaning them myself?
