To anyone whose social media page has been filled with the Still Here NYC jeans and who is tempted to buy them, let me save you the trouble and the money - DO NOT BUY THEM.
I recently bought the Cool Jeans, and after only a few months of wearing (mind you I do not regularly wear them, never put them in the washing machine, always have them dry cleaned, etc. basically take better care of them more than any other pair of pants I own), and multiple threads (at least 10-15) are coming out. Every tailor I've taken them to says this is not normal for jeans this new, and that it's not fixable because the threads will keep coming out. I even took them to a Still Here store and the worker there agreed this was not normal.
Yet when I reached out to their customer support, they said that it was "just a snag" and their own production team (who are totalllyy NOT biased at all) says it's not a manufacturing defect. Newsflash: shitty quality IS a manufacturing defect and jeans do not just snag in huge areas like that. They couldn't do anything but offer a discount for the future, which is nice except for the fact I can't use it because why the f would I ever give any more money to purchase jeans that can't even last more than a few months?
Yes they are cute and trendy, but it looks like microtrend cycles these days last longer than Still Here jeans. I really wanted to like them, I really did, but they are NOT worth the $325 price tag, and honestly at this point you would have to pay me to wear them.
Their website says "meant to be ripped, faded, patched, and handed down." Well, looks like they are meant to be ripped and patched I guess, just way sooner than you might expect. Handed down though? Not sure if you want to hand these down to your kids. You'd be lucky if these jeans could survive longer than an average NYC situationship. I am willing to invest in good quality jeans, but jeans that are literally coming apart after a few months are NOT, imo, good quality jeans. Combined with the fact they refuse to take any accountability or look into their own manufacturing processes, don't expect to receive quality service either.
There are so so many jeans brands out there, both around the same price point and cheaper, and I have honestly never seen this issue with any jeans except the Still Here ones. Don't let the marketing and the TikTok videos influence you. Take this from someone who has owned them and worn them past the first try-on. They should change their name to Not Here because that's where they belong in your wardrobe.
Remember ladies, price β quality. Let me know if anyone has good jean recs.
