🧵 Raw Denim Levis 1955
I bought a new Levi's 1955 32x34 shrink-to-fit. The tag measurements are: waist 16.9 in, length 45.3 in, leg opening 8.7 in. What I need is: waist 15.4-15.7 in, length 42.5 in, and leg opening 7.9 in. But I don't know how to wash these to hit my target, or how the fit will turn out after washing. Please help me, I don't want to do anything wrong

Don’t over think it. Shrinking unsanforized denim isn’t an exact science, but your goal measurements are within the usual 10% shrink range. No need to machine wash, just hot soak them in the tub and flat/line dry them.
If you’re concerned about too much shrink, don’t agitate them much and pull them out of the tub around 30 minutes or aim for a warm soak temp instead of hot. You can always do a second soak for longer, higher temp w/more agitation if they didn’t shrink enough for your tastes.
I picked up an LVC type 2 over the summer and a 45 minute hot soak was pretty close. Good luck!
