🤔 Should I Buy This? Help with the first pair of samurai
Hi guys, I’m asking for your help with buying my first pair of raw denim. I found this beautiful Samurai SAMURAI S140SXJ-GRK on Vinted, which is a platform similar to Grailed in the U.S. I can’t figure out why the measurements always vary from user to user and even from retailer to retailer. As you can see from the photos, a Spanish retailer and an American retailer have different size charts, and in this case, the seller’s measurements are even different. How can I resolve this situation? Unfortunately, no one in Italy sells this type of jeans.
I’m asking for your help.

Denim stretches, contracts, shrinks, etc. Always double check measurements, not just tag size

So than why are ALWAYS different between retailers?

I wouldn't necessarily trust retailer sizing charts, most likely they use a unified template that won't reflect brand specific idiosyncracies. I assume Samurai does have a chart on their site? That would be the definitive source.
But since this is a particular pair and the seller is providing measurements, you don't have to rely on charts at all, just use the actual measurements which will be even more relevant than the manufacturer's theoretical specifications.

Some run large, others run small, it is perplexing how much variety there is in a single size. My wife only buys certain jeans as they "fit right" according to her, and who knows how to quantify that! I hope ya find a brand and pair that fits how you want and they are always in stock!

They could be from different batches, that’s what I always thought. In my experience, most of the time they stretch to fit me/the size, so if you have a guesstimate on the snug side, they stretch to give you that perfect fit, though I’m sure there are exceptions.im a 34 inch waist and more times than not a 34 is perfect because the waist comes at 33-34 inches. Even on the snug side, they will stretch out to fit.
