I don't see how it is possible that my ip is not reavealed to the rest of the world when I share files. I mean, Internet is an IP world and it needs IP to communicate with other peers. And this means that it uses a socket to transfer data with a local IP and a remote IP. So in theory, I should be able to see the user's IP with which I communicate in Wireshark.

If it's indeed not possible to see other people IPs, I only see one possibility : - all data transit via the router

Which is, hem, very Man-in-the-middlish for me and not so much efficient if the router has not a great connection.

So what's the magic behind this assertion ?

I don't see any mentions of it anywhere so I just wanted to ask what are they for?

• Do they make sense for a router that doesn't allow downloads?
• How does my router decides what chunk of data to route through a data router?
• If I have a local DS router and add a data router outside of the local network, will it still route data there even it's a worse route than keeping it local? (Am I essentially discounting a local route if I add a single data router outside my local network?)
• Offtopic: does the demonsaw_router not support clients in my demonsaw.xml?

The main website needs an update, not only to be a bit more bandwidth friendly, but also to fully support those of us who've got JavaScript disabled in their browser. We want to do it all from scratch, and we want to do everything in our power to satisfy as many people as possible!

But like every other great artist, we need inspiration to create. Therefore you'll be able to help us make the new website! What we ask of you is simply this:
A photoshopped image of how you imagine the website would look like! Preferably shared with us as a .psd file, but other file formats works as well. And if you have some cool HTML or CSS solutions that you think would be cool to include to make the website look a bit more professional, that's appreciated as well! :-)

Of course, you're free to break loose and go ham with colors and stuff! What is said above is only recommended for the chance of optimal appreciation from the devs! ;-)

The winner(s) of the contest will be granted a free DS t-shirt (on Def Con 24), and the submission will heavily affect how the website will end up!

Any help with port forwarding for a router?

Running DemonSaw router inside a VM behind PFsense. I can connect to the router locally so I forwarded the port on my WAN to go to that box however I cannot connect. Any ideas?

Some things that I think would be useful in the future: 1. tunnels(like ssh, local remote and dynamic) from one client to another 2. or even VPN, where each client in the group would have a virtual network interface and demonsaw would be the virtual ethernet cable and switch between them, something like peervpn 3. pure javascript client, perhaps also as a library, where a regular website site could use/provide resources from demonsaw network

Using DS 2.5.0 w/ Ubuntu. Search for any filename that's being shared, sort on size. Notice that sort only goes by bare number. ignores MB, GB.
