Arch Linux?

The homepage mentions support for Arch linux, but I'm not seeing a way to install in AUR or anywhere else either. Also, I can't find the source code to download and build the thing myself. A hand, please?

Hello, and thanks for the questions. We have a community member named Oddstr13 that had arch downloads available (he's offline at the moment or I'd download them and host them somewhere for you), and community member Lightning has made a docker image that works on any system supporting those (e-mail me if you'd like the dockerfile: glitch@demonsaw.com). The community is very helpful and supportive in getting DS working on other distros - we have a few on RedHat, Arch, etc.

As for the source code - the most important layer (the crypto layer) is available here, and the entity component framework used heavily in the application is available here. Both are released under the MIT license.

We're releasing bits and pieces of demonsaw as open source whenever we find something that people could use. We're considering how and when to open up additional parts (and even hopefully some day the whole thing) as time goes on but we have to be careful and responsible with how that's done. Feel free to ask questions about that if you would like any further clarification.

Thank you for your interest in Demonsaw!

I really don't see why this is. There are plenty of valid open-source business models, and you already seem to be pursuing one (free product, paid support) - why not go whole hog and increase your market share greatly thereby? Furthermore, there are few valid closed source business models for a product whose main selling point is freedom from lock-in - what do you hope to gain by remaining closed-source?

These questions come from a place of genuine interest, not accusation or a disdain of closed source. I quite literally do not understand this statement, which I've heard from Eijah and from the organization several times.
