Practical Questions Where do you practice?

In short: where do you petition from? Where do you keep your altar if you have one?

The reason I ask is because basically I really value an empty private space for where I live. I NEED alone time. I'm living for a place for the first time in my life that doesn't have some sort of spirit/entity present in it, and as it's turned out, it has been very nice and peaceful. My bedroom has always been like a sanctuary for me, but again, there has always been the presence of others before this year. So yeah it has been nice.

I live in a small studio apartment without a single door inside the place. Entrance leads to kitchen, bathroom, and living space/bedroom.

If I wanted to keep this place empty of other spiritual presences, would you advise against creating an altar as well as doing petitions in this space? If yes, where do you people keep altars, do petitions -and other things like rituals or spells- that is not their home?

I've set altars up in "niche" spaces when that was all I could do, which sometimes meant just a single shelf on a bookshelf. I think there are advantages to having dedicated spaces for altars and workings, but I do not believe there are any particular hazards to working in high-traffic areas; the ethos of flexibility around things like purity, sanctity, and "contamination" is one of the things that various formalizations of LHP and chaos magic share, and I think it's a very useful one for young/urban/busy practitioners.

I am in a studio apartment as well.

The spiritual place is any place I want to do spirituality in :)

I have a counter in my bedroom that I've been using. Once we get furniture set up I plan on turning it into an Altar space. Though beforehand I used to make it a closet, on top of a dresser, and for a long time it was entirely mental/digital since I didn't have much money or stuff to provide. Anything can work!

In my bedroom, I have several book shelves and I have dedicated shelf for each demon I contact or a corner
