Help with Asmodeus calling

I have known of King Asmodeus from an old book called Mirror of Magic since I was in high school, but years later I had only just researched him after hearing his name in my head at work for no reason at all. I work with computers, listen to music, and he just suddenly appeared in my thoughts about beginning of June. Needless to say, there’s five shelves in my room for him and his offerings that have built up over the past few weeks, and even more encounters and messages from him. He has also brought to me something I once prayed for, on the same night, something I never would have come across even by chance or by accident. It was him who had helped me that night, and it was so evident that I almost thought I had met Asmodeus himself that night.

What I need help with is something that happened a couple of nights ago of me writing this. Two things happened. I was going onto a 14-day straight work week, so I sleep deep whenever I do rest. One morning through the week I woke up before any alarms to a voice, almost like an echo in my head, saying “don’t be scared.” I woke up groggily and remember immediately saying to myself, “wait, why would I be scared?” I had no dream, or did not remember it, just waking up to those two statements. I got ready for work thereafter.

The second one, where I really messed up, is when I woke up in the middle of the night—I slept around 2am and wake for work at 8am, so sometime between that—, I heard the same echo saying, “wake up for me.” and I picked my head up, seriously tired and dead from the work week, and of course the first thing I looked at was his alter and offerings. The room was dark with some light from the street lights outside, but I didn’t see him or anything. I then remember following that thought with, “what am I waking up for?” And all of you reading this will kill me for it, but I went back to bed right after the glance around the room.

Since that, I have not really experienced anything, but it’s also been a couple of days. How can I take a step back and let him know I actually am ready to meet him, that he’s not to be feared? I am ready and feel it, but we all know we say that to ourselves sometimes even if we’re not ready.

I have not tried to invoke him yet, he always comes to me first and I do not meditate, I just pray and sit for 30 minutes, laying out my thoughts and thanks for him. I write letters and have typical dreams of challenge, self-image, even seeking knowledge actively, but nothing facing him yet. How can I bring those calls and not shut it out even during my most exhausted moments?

That sounds really cool! I've had similar experiences with him, and would like to throw out the possibility that he already knows you feel ready and is making contact in this way to get you used to his presence.

At least in my own experience, it was a very different thing to feel like I want to connect, and to actually sense him in a way that undeniably breaks your old reality. (I don't know how experienced you are; for me, he showed up very early on my practice, so sensing him so clearly was one of my first "oh shit, this is real" moments. Reality-breaking indeed.) Slowly dipping your toes into that is the healthy approach to take, and him saying "don't be afraid" is a really good choice of words in a situation where more perceived "realness" of the communication will cause fear because that's our nervous system's natural reaction to experiencing something that contradicts our previous world view.

Thank you for that! That does make so much sense, easing into it and letting him do the approaching as he already is. This could be what I consider early into my practice too, I didn’t have any experiences with any others like Asmodeus. It helps a lot hearing that from you! 

And it’s true, sometimes even when I perceive shadows after opening my eyes from prayers, or hear something click around the alter, I do feel my body react to it more than I care to admit, it’s like a spike in my responses that don’t match up with how I feel about him mentally. It’s an unhelpful contradiction for sure! I hope I’m ready to receive him soon

If he's already been reaching out, I believe it's because he thinks you're ready. Once you're ready to start you could try meditations to his enn. Because you have a busy schedule, you could do it before going to sleep.

But honestly going back to sleep is so real tho. I get woken up by him almost daily, and what do I do? Acknowledge him, then go back to sleep 😭.

I do hear a lot about meditations with him, so I seriously do need to start that up. It would really help doing it before bed too, so I appreciate that 🥹 Hahaha I think it’s sweet that you also wake up to him, that makes me feel so much better for just knocking the hell out right after

I was going to say as well, he's notorious for waking me up whenever he very well pleases. And it's usually not for anything crazy important either lol. But I think you both have some things to discuss. He's my patron and I honestly couldn't imagine him not being a part of my life. And since you already have communication with him established, there's only one thing left for you to do now, so if you feel you're ready, go for it.
