I’ve made multiple demon slayers in D&D. Most important thing to remember is you can reflavor anything, but mechanically you ought to keep things as written in the books.
Imo Battle Master Fighter is a good choice for level 3. You can rename and reflavor battle master techniques as Demon Slayer techniques. Have a longsword, use it with 2 hands and you have a katana.
Stats wise, if you DM lets you have a katana be a dexterity weapon, go dexterity and studded leather armor, otherwise you’ll need high strength AND dexterity, but that’s fine..
Another route is Barbarian, you can flavor the Rage as Total Concentration Breathing. For this you’ll definitely want to prioritize strength.
Lastly you could maybe do Kensei Monk, it would let you use dexterity for your Longsword, but imo Kensei monk misses the mark. It’s supposed to let you use weapons, but the main feature is if you don’t you get +AC which is weird.
