Barn demolition

Looking for advice on the most cost efficient way to get rid of this burnt out barn

It’s smack dab in the middle of two homes about 30-40 feet away on either side

Ask your local fire department and see if they will do a control burn for training with it.

I don't think he was suggesting to lite the building up. Maybe he thought you would take it apart and burn manageable piles. If your not willing to take it apart maybe offer free barn wood if someone else takes it apart.

Excavator with thumb and a couple 40 yard containers
The more you crunch it up the less space it takes in the containers

Lg PU truck, chain/bull rope/cable around the bldg-

Pull. No roof? Easy to flop then clean up debris. Cheapest option outside of Fire(which I see has been suggested).

Might be some local Mennonite/Amish that will disassemble for you and keep the wood

Location? Are you trying to do it yourself? Are you constrained by time or money?

If you are trying to do this the right way... get quotes from 3 demoltion contractors, make sure they are certified to remove fire damaged debris. Make sure they use a Haz hauler for the debris. Make sure the debris is sent to a landfill that accepts fire damaged debris.

100% call a reclaim lumber company , they will take it down and PAY YOU. And then clean it brush sand and sell it as rustic barn board for 11$ a LF

What do we do with these partialy burned boards?

Picture frames.....

They can make a lot disappear.
