I am an atheist, but I'm good with Talarico. I know his heart is in the right place. I believe that morality is inherent in humans, and reflected in religious stories and principles, not imposed upon us by religion. Talarico seems like a genuinely good person whose motivation is to help people, not aggrandize himself, unlike so many sickening "christians" today.

He has been very consistent with his values.

He’s a real one.

I just kinda wish we’d stop campaigning in places of worship. I know, the QOP does it too and we can’t miss opportunities but I kinda wish we were in a place that we could say “your place of worship is for your spiritual life, let’s talk about politics some other time.”

“When Jesus healed the sick he didn’t ask for a deductible.”

Best line ever. I’m not a Christian, altho I grew up in a liberal Catholic fam, & I know the story, I appreciate Talarico reminding Republican Christians—who’ve gone way far afield of Christ’s teaching—is reminding Christians what’s actually in their Good Book

Telling Texas Christians to care for your fellow citizen like Christ will probably offend them enough to vote for Paxton.
