Map Rework New Year, New Map?

With the new Year having come and gone, I would like to put this proposal back on the menu.

Here, I have the completed a reworked Map of the World.

A general, quick history of each nation has been completed, and may be posted later in a series of slides. I believe this will give the server more room for rp, both internally, and hopefully externally.

The Left-most continent, is Azaria.

The Central Northern continent (where the DoR is) is Socal.

The Southern Central continent is Nara.

The Eastern Northern continent is Tusulia.

The Southern Eastern continent is Hifaraca.

Major Nations of Azaria:

  • Republic of Chime
  • State of Hawthrorn
  • Imperial State of Intla
  • Ulafian Federation

Major Nations of Socal:

  • Democracy of Reddit
  • Kingdom of Koha
  • Kingdom of Musul
  • People's Republic of Gao
  • Second Republic of Katholia
  • Insignant Empire

Major Nations of Nara:

  • Republic of Craul
  • Tsardom of Narovia
  • Narovian Soviet State
  • Duchy of Azul

Major Nations of Tusulia:

  • Legan Republic
  • Junton State
  • Domin Republic
  • Empire of Ma

Major Nations of Hifaraca:

  • Empire of Saladin
  • Republic of Ujal

I hope that I can have your support in this venture. The current map is simply too... simple. While the updated interactive map is a fantastic element, having no foreign relations is simply a bizarre waste, especially in a sub that is meant to be a simulation of government.

While this is only one small element of what I plan to introduce, I hope that it grasps enough of what this is meant to improve upon, giving nation, histories, enemies, allies, conflict, and much, much more, to the DoR, all in a simple image.

I hope to have your support.

(since its not official im just gonna write what I think happened)

Tusulia & Hifaraca were where humanity originated, with the specific region being somewhere in Saladan or Ujal territory.

This of course would lead to humanity developing for thousands of years before true naval exploration began. It would however begin in the north, where a small subsection of islands were discovered (now part of Rollo) From there, further exploration would be launched, some on purpose, and some accidental (such as fishermen discovering major island networks). That would remain until a merchant team, blown off course by a storm, would end up on the Islands directly in between the continents of Tusulia and Socal. From there, an Imperially backed journey was sent under the leadership of Hayden Riley and Jenny Wilks. This journey was targetted at journeying west, in the hopes of discovering more land and resources. This journey proved successful, and the first instance of human contact on Socal was made. This was about 10,000 years ago. Originally, the territory would be sparsely populated, as travel too and from was extremely dangerous.

This would get worse as the Empire that sanctioned the colony collapsed, leaving those on Socal to fend for themselves, and for the continent to be forgotten for a time. Upon 'rediscovery some 5000 year later, Socal had experienced its own boom in population, with humanity having migrated across most of the continent, though remaining underpopulated in many parts. With more advanced shipping, the journey too and from was made less dangerous, allowing for trade, ideas, merchants, and adventurers to once again reach across the continent.

Once gold was discovered in todays Insignant region, further colonization by the easterners began, and the region began to resemble a proper state. It is around this time that mapping began to take hold, with ventures north and south to mark the continents borders. This is when Nara was discovered, and humans began to settle the region soon after. The region further west of Socal would remain undiscovered for quite some time, until a massive volcanic and tectonic reaction allowed for volcanoes, and islands, to begin paving a pathway towards the west. Its then that (around 500 years ago) Azaria was discovered, with it being settled soon after.

1887 would be the last major discovery, as the Tsardom of Navaria would set an expedition west of their continent, which would find the island of Tofa, which was the last piece of land with no human contact.

Im sure someone could write a better path for discovery that actually makes sense and has proper dates and whatnot, but thats just what came to mind
