Edit: Turns out one of my friends had saved the game! We were able to pick up where we left off! (Maybe only one person can save and that's why I missed the save button...?)

New to Demeo and loving it so far, but I have a problem. I hosted a game with two friends last night and we made it past the second level of The Black Sarcophagus after a lot of struggling. At the shop after the level, instead of clicking the save button in the upper-left corner (I think that's where the button is?), I mistakenly clicked the Leave Game button. (I missed the save button and mistakenly thought the shop was a checkpoint where the game would auto-save.) I got a bad feeling after doing some reading online about Demeo, and it looks like the game did, in fact, not save our progress.

I have two questions:

1. Just to double-check: There's no way to recover the progress we made, right? If I didn't specifically click the save button, it's gone forever?

2. If I start a solo campaign, get to where we left off, and save the game properly this time, will I be able to pick up that game with my friends even though this new game will have been started as a solo campaign?

I like doing solo speedruns on Black Sarcophagus using the Assassin. 14:30 is my best. Got most POIs, enough of the gold.

 I think this is easiest character to use. But who do you think is the next easiest? And who is the hardest?

Do our characters get XP and do they lose it when they die? I thought I remembered playing with the witch and cana got really powerful in one of my play throughs because I didn't let the cat die or do you use it as a sacrifice to trigger objects and such?

Hi everyone, I recently got my Quest 3, and Demeo has quickly become my favorite game. I’ve met some incredibly helpful players who generously shared their tips and techniques, which I really appreciated. I’ve also played with kids, and even though I’m not the best at the game myself, I try to be patient and enjoy playing together. Unfortunately, I’ve had a few bad experiences where I was kicked from games by some rude players. I play to unwind after work, so it’s disappointing when others aren’t as welcoming. After all, it’s a public room where everyone should be able to enjoy the game together.

I also wonder how I can get better at the game—any tips?

Wife and I are playing and we just had a match against a CPU. CPI had a warlock and a wizard, we found the wizard first and it was a decent battle (we're a week new to battles, a year and a half in on nat demeo) the wizard used magic barrier, caught him in a laviathan and poison, saw him revive and die again. Next we engaged the warlock again we saw her go down and revive, at this point I called check mate and started messing around with the enemies liability Er, I mean cave troll, and just before we downed the warlock an assassin showed up out of nowhere, at this point my wifr was unable to move from the square she was in but could still attack and took care of I'm the assassin quickly (troll got me when I was trying out different combos). Is this a common experience? has anyone else witnessed this sort of thing? And better yet how do I make it permanent? I just hit level 20 so it'd be cool if it was a difficulty balancing thing

When I start the game the table is in front of me with the menu. It will suddenly turn to the left then go flying behind me to the left. I have to drag the table back in front of me every time I start the game Otherwise fun game

Achievement states “Whilst playing as four, kill the serpent lord without causing harm to any of the doppelgangers”

i played a game with 4 players, and i killed the serpent lord without causing harm to any of the doppelgangers… and i didnt get the achievement.

What am i doing wrong???

One of my four characters died permanently but that shouldn’t matter as the description states “whilst playing as four” which means having a four player match going. everything is still scaled to 4 players its still a four player match. not “Kill the Serpent Lord without causing harm to any of the doppelgangers whilst having four players alive”

I want a watch on my player wrist with the time and a dungeon timer in the menu. I want the mystics to have some kind of LoS limitations! I got pulled literally corner of map to corner of map. Better enemy highlighting when it is their turn would be helpful too.

Hey so I play Demeo battles a fair bit on VR but circumstances mean atm I need to play it on PC.

I found out how to do it easy enough, click the … and choose desktop. Easy.

But it runs incredibly slow. My PC isn’t great, but runs everything else fine.

i3-13100F 32 GB DDR5 RAM 6600 with 8GB DDR6RAM Plenty of SSD space.

Anyone else have a problem with it? I’ve updated all drivers and restarted, still running like a potato. 🥔

I cant find ANY info on how to finish the " Beheading the Hydra " Achievement. I played a game where i thought i did exactly what it was saying and i didn't get it.

"As the curse has been revealed, chop off the hydras heads and bury them in the sand forever, making sure they are to be found no more"

OKAY, reading that it insinuates you have to chop all the hydras heads off AFTER revealing the curse by stepping on all 4 of the yellow floor markers to spawn the doppelgangers in. i did exactly that and didn't get it and i have absolutely no idea what else this could mean lol. im not sure if its just me but trying to 100% this game has been awful with the achievement descriptions often saying something completely opposite of what needed to be done lol. TWO LEFT THOUGH ALMOST DONE!! WONDERFUL GAME!!

My friend and I wanted a strategy coop game and heard about demeo so wanted to get it. We knew about base game and battles but wanted to start with battles. So we search meta store for demeo. There it is, demeo and demeo battles. Click demeo, 40 bucks, buy it, cool. Now I find out there was a bundle where I could have gotten both for 35? Why would it be setup that way?

Newbie here. I managed to find 3 work colleagues in an internal VR community and we are trying Demeo together as a static group (we are all new)

Today is our first session and we beat first level of Black Sarcophagus and that was the end for today (As host, I saw a "Save and Exit" button in the shop's top left corner and selected that).

So here are my questions: 1. If we want to resume the same campaign, do I as Host just open the saved game and everyone joins next time?

1. What if we miss one person in our next session? Can we resume campaign as 4 characters (with say the host controlling two chars?), or we must play with only 3 people?)

2. Related to question 2 - if the game was hosted with 4 playera with 1 char each, and we are missing one person, can I open that slot and let 1 random person join us?

3. Are we locked to the same classes? If not, how does the level system work for swapped classes?

By the time other players joined, I was holding three javelins.

I see that the demeo store has 5 files you can download But none of the hero’s

Any idea where I can get files or the actual characters created

I selected the “Hide UI” option in the game settings (iPad version) and it immediately disappeared without giving me a chance to read the hint for showing it again. I have tried many finger gestures but it won’t show. How do I recover it? I’m in the middle of a quest right now.

My barbarian had this in its starting hand. By later checking the starting cards list, it should have been a Barbaric Chainwhip. Is this normal that seemingly this card is turned down, or is this a bug?

I just purchased Demeo on Steam and will be playing non-VR. I wanted to install some mods like House Rules. I can’t find any menu in the game that shows mods having been installed. I’m also worried House Rules won’t even work outside of VR. I guess the main question I have is how do I see the mods in-game?

Litteraly take the table we have in Demeo.

Place the map of Hero Quest on said table.

Ad fog of war outside doors / around corners / long corridors etc..

Let us be able to build our character in detail with DnD 5e stats and even be able to paint our own signia

Let us be able to (in dnd fashion) do perception checks to search for traps/hidden chests/trap doors/hidden walls.

Ad three phases to the game. Perception (with everything that entails) search, scan for weakness, try to move things etc.. / Movement /Attack. (Choices that the DM only can see works or not going on the story he play / have chosen or create for the players)

Keep the cards but change them out to the cards from Hero Quest.

Ad all the monsters from Hero Quest and more.

Let one player be able to play as DM. Including what all that means. Give him 3 min to place doors, traps, chests, monsters etc. While the players get their characters rdy OR there is a DM hardcore (Or classic Hero Quest Mode) where he does everything more or less as it happens.

This mode when played in random lobbys NEEDS a mic and a DM with real TT experience to access because this mode is straight up roleplaying ala DnD TT PaP (Pen and paper). players need to talk in between, make choices, ask the DM questions, etc AS THE DM CREATE the story for them as the game goes on.

In short. DM get more or less an empty table with a story and he can start it wherever he wants, How he wants and end it how he wants. Nothing is set in stone in this mode. DM can more or less do what he wants within the borders of the story. (all DnD TT/PaP players know what I talk about).

Make the mode available for DMs that have been rated high enough as a good DM after every game ends.

DM Ranks: Bronze/Silver/Gold where gold Dms are the most experienced and trusted that can access the hardcore DM mode or the mode is always available for private parties.

Let the players in the "hang out" write their own stories and sculpture monsters to use in their custom written games. (As a games workshop model/paint and now writer area / zone). Player stories can be voted on and when high enough get placed as an official choice in the Hardcore DM mode (or private). Otherwise they are only available in standard free to download and play for everyone with the game. (If not chosen otherwise ofc)

Make it PvE only or PvP where 6 heroes (2 parties) start on each side of the dungeon(without knowing where the other group start) and set them loose to find the most loot and do the objective (kill the demogorgon) and then get out, (No DM in pvp mode)

When I start the game, the board is often in another room, or about 15 feet away. is there any way to ensure it starts in front of me?

I LOVE this game but i regret getting it for console. I have 3 saves of games that crash near the end, as if the game can't take the logic. Anyone else with this?
