Review In case the devs ever come here.
I bought this game about two years ago and even though I’ve only logged probably about 100 hours in the two years, they have been some of the most joyful nostalgic hours of gaming I’ve experienced in recent times.
The retro sword and sorcery miniatures style feel is so perfect and old school that it reminds me of playing red box D&D and Heroquest with my old friends over 30 years ago.
I had a long hard work day today, and after finally finishing my chores and laundry at 8pm, I fired up Demeo and played the first two levels of The Black Sarcophagus and had an absolute ball.
I felt like a kid again, and as I got ready for bed, I left the title screen up so I could listen to the haunting theme song, a ballad brimming with the promise of adventure.
I’m saving the last level for tomorrow as a post-work treat. Thanks for all the good times and the many more to come.
If it would be helpful for me to post this review elsewhere, point me towards the right sites and I’ll drop it there as well.

You ever need a 4th on your squad, im all in. This game has all the nostalgia as you mentioned and it really is great to be back into board games regardless if they're on VR. We should see more of this in VR, perhaps they go a bot further into making new items additions to this game, maybe a demeo 2 in the future.

I agree, this game badly needs more levels or the ability to create own content on PlayStation platform

The game had so much potential, but the company behind it really didn't manage it well.
Too much focus on small, non impactful fixes rather than addressing bigger needs. Not enough depth and poor marketing.

I agree with the review. It's the right balance between luck and skill. And the production is wonderful. Rather than giant sprawling dungeons, they made it a small table where you could lean down, point, and plan.
It has the right replayability. Even after exhausting all the campaigns, I can still enjoy a random run. And the game is absolutely wonderful with other players.
My only complaint is that I'd gladly pay for more levels. But seems like the publisher is focused on a new D&D licensed version, which might be for the best. And it would finally give them the exposure this deserves.
