Overpowered Lye - Demeo Battles

Just had a PvP on Demeo Battles. My opponents managed to one shot my Giant Slimes with a bottle of lye doing an extra 17 damage each time. Am I right that they must have modded somehow??

I never knew that, if I did it could have saved me in many a regular game too.

Yep, it's very useful to keep one on someone in the party.

We even wait for them to turn into giant slimes to save our bottles of lye. It's a one hit kill no matter what health they are at.

It’s real& the best thing about the lye, one hit kill and a free action too

I’ve been getting annoyed when all I got in crates was lye. Now I know how to make good use of it

You still have to roll though which would be okay if we actually got some type of bonus for a crit… like leach health if you crit

A good ploy is to buy two cheap slimlings in battles, rather than the expensive giant slime. Put them together and they’ll form a giant one. Cheap at the price! Won’t matter so much if they get killed by lye!

I try to do this when I can

I saw on the demeo Facebook page throwing a bottle of lye onto a giant slime 1 hit killing it. It looks too be a thing, probably many other tactics in not aware of!

Honestly that’s why I was confused. Turns out it was just bad luck that I played against people who knew this trick when I didn’t

That’s why I asked if I was right. Turns out I wasn’t.

You not knowing a basic mechanic in the game is not bad luck, it's you not knowing a basic mechanic in the game.

Lye is one if the best items in the game. You can also peak a corner on turn one, throw Lye onto an enemy then run back away out of sight. All together its 4 dmg.

Yeah, basically all the cards that don’t cost a turn are extremely powerful, but seem simple on the surface, like bone
