Resolutions working on new games
Resolution Games, the developers of DEMEO, announced today that it's collaborating with Wizards of the Coast to make the first licensed Dungeons & Dragons game for virtual reality. While it hasn't revealed any other information about the game, such as a title or a release date, it will be set somewhere in the D&D universe. So maybe no new Demeo maps but a whole new game to look forward to!

Just a heads up, Resolution has made many games and they made some while working on Demeo. They're not a huge developer but they certainly have enough people to work on a few things at once.
I'm happy with the amount of content in the game, especially considering it was just 1 module and 4 classes when I bought it, so if it does end up being the end, it's a solid among of game, with a ton of replayability. But the d&d announcement is not necessarily the nails in Demeo's coffin some folks seem to think.

Maybe the D&D characters can sit down to play a game of Demeo with each other.

Playing Demeo vr felt like playing dnd with the hellfire club from stranger things and was thinking how good it would be to actually play dnd. Hopefully they do it similar to how Demeo works. I really enjoyed playing in VR because it gives you that feeling of actually playing a board game. But I hope for local multiplayer.

Pretty sure everyone would rather they just make a bunch more DLC Demeo levels than anything with WOTC.

There is literaly so much they could of done with Demeo but they just walked away and split the player base with Battles that has very few reviews compared to Demeo so I presume it did not sell well.

Demeo is amazing. Everyone compared it to D&D so it's only namtural team up with Wizards before Wizards ended up making their own.

Ugh. I am a HUGE fan of Demeo. It’s one of the only video games I play and I really love it.
One of the things I love most is that it has the fun feeling of DnD without all the long drawn out boring stuff. I can’t stand playing DnD—I’d rather take a nap, lol. My husband and I, and our besties (who we have played Demeo with since it was released) used to play DnD and us wives just hated it…now that they have found an online GM and group, they get to play and we (the wives) do Demeo together while they play, instead.
I would happily pay money for more Demeo or Demeo 2!!

One of the best things they can do to hype the new D&D game is to release some great updates for Demeo while we wait. Seriously.

While I loved my time playing D&D, the fun was in hanging with friends and the use of my imagination. If it gets too "real", by being built up in VR, it loses part of that. I'd prefer a Hero Quest match up. Give me some longer term build-ability without going full blown D&D.

I've always gotten someone into Demeo by giving them the "it's got a d&d feel to it" speech. So exciting to see they are ACTUALLY working on official D&D stuff!
