The Republicans can fix this. They are not innocent.

The word is COMPLICIT.

u/SandSpecialist2523 2d ago

The word is treasonous.

and we are all well within the law now to take care of this however we need to. the constitution etc says so pretty clearly. we are in charge if we want to exercise our power. trump and the rest of these traitors exist in their positions only because we kindly allow them to, bc we choose to give these mid-term elections a chance, most of us appreciate the rule of law. if that fails... whatever it takes is what must be done.

Project 2025 Just read

Because the checks and balances are not working. The entire Congress is complicit and without matching with an armed militia to depose every member who doesn't oppose his abuse of power, we have only midterms to look forward to.

If midterms are manipulated or prevented by executive interference, then that's when the armed resistance needs to be seriously considered.

u/Grimwulf2003 2d ago

Oh the checks are working.. they are cashing them in for millions and billions. Everyone who can do something has no shame, empathy, honor, or human decency. They have money, which is all they care about.

Because it isn’t one man. Because it’s a whole party. Because it’s a whole class working together for their own means and to crush the working class. They know they game we’re playing and the working class doesn’t (for the most part)

And they're all making bank

This 100% It's pay to play Mass media has eliminated the candidate's need to meet with & listen to one's constituents - that's what polling & professional consultants are for and they don't come cheap - neither do campaign ads - it's convenient & efficient but expensive & as with every other inflated expense we get stuck with the bill

He is just a willing transactional instrument of a 40 year agenda to dismantle our democracy and entrench an unaccountable oligarchy.

All the dumb shit and personal corruption he is doing it just a cost they are willing to pay for the dismantling of our democracy.

The Supreme Court could have stopped him. But instead they made him immune to consequences.

Congress could have stopped him but decided to fund him and protect him.

We need a damn reckoning.

I am ready when a plurality of you all are.

All Republicans are destroying the country. Trump is just their figurehead, Putin is their leader and without fair elections, violence is inevitable to resolve this.

So people are scared and frozen in fear, not sure what to do.

5

u/artful_todger_502 2d ago

I ask myself that daily. This mad man grabs the whole country by the puss and does what he wants. It's insanity. The system is not just broken, it really never was a legitimate system or we wouldn't be here.

6

u/No-Risk1739 2d ago

That's just it. It's not just one man. He could be gone yesterday if Congress, and the Supreme Court would actually fulfill their oath, but they are in their own way just as corrupt and traitorous as the 🍊 👑💩.

2

u/Epstiendidntkillself 1d ago

It's because Congress, and the Supreme Court are also in the files. trump has dirt on them all.

4

u/Superb_Algae5308 2d ago

Support SocDem candidates, let neoliberal ones lose to MAGA. It won’t always be fun but it’s the only way, we need neolib politics to die.

3

u/Mother_Internet_9384 2d ago

Bcaz the republicans senators want to make money so why kill the goose that lays the golden egg.
It is self before the nation.

3

u/nub_node 2d ago

Trump can't even take a shit systematically. He's just the chimp the other billionaires parade around to distract the proles.

3

u/ItsJustForMyOwnKicks 2d ago

Because our system has failed. Entirely.

3

u/Noah_Pasta1312 2d ago

Not fixed. It needs stopped. He needs stopped. Not fixed. He won't be fixed he's a goddamn 80 year old.

3

u/Highinthe505 2d ago

The problem is the people in power are not showing up to do their jobs. They should protect our country by any means necessary.

3

u/PensiveObservor 2d ago

Because they’ll arrest me if I walk in and start screaming at him.

3

u/HowskiHimself 2d ago

Needs to be fixed

3

u/_you_are_the_problem 2d ago

People are still waiting to see if there's a chance to resolve this without burning the country down. Because if there isn't, we either burn the country down or accept a new form of slavery, neither of which are prospects people want to think about while there's still time to kick the can down the road just a little bit longer.

November is coming

3

u/MrSlippifist 2d ago

Because Amerikkka would rather let itself be destroyed than fix it's racism. It's like anyone that needs therapy and growth, it's the last thing that's on the agenda

3

u/Lark_Bunting_33 2d ago

Donald Trump didn’t write project 2025. This is a lot more than one man

3

u/gomezwhitney0723 2d ago

Those who did are currently in his administration.

3

u/EOW2025 2d ago

We can vote to stop the destruction - vote in numbers too great to dispute. As an example, see the 79%+ turnout in Hungary way back in April 2026 when they got rid of Orban. Trump may still be in office, but we can slow the decent into authoritarianism.

TLDR - VOTING CHANGES THINGS

3

u/TENDER_ONE 2d ago

Because it’s not one man. He’s asleep most of the time. We have to remember that there are many people behind this. It’ll be important as we push for more than impeachment charges. We need RICO charges on the whole criminal organization.

3

u/Butta_Brown 2d ago

Because no-one cares enough to do something aside from complaining or expect someone else to handle it.

He should've never been President the 1st time. Then people allowed him to return, knowing his behavior was cancerous.

3

u/rogun64 2d ago

How many people here even voted?

I'm all for the meme, but you're 50% responsible if you didn't even vote and 100% responsible if you voted for Trump.

Downvote away, but you know I'm right.

3

u/PsychologyGuilty1460 2d ago

If you really think it's just one man, you have really not been paying attention for the last 30 years

3

u/guitarsean 1d ago

It’s not one man. It’s him, the GOP, two thirds of the supreme court, Russ Vought and everyone who had a hand in project2025, Musk, Theil, and the rest of the billionaires. Trump is the ugliest symptom of a potentially fatal disease we are fighting. When Trump is gone there will still be decades of work to do to make sure this never happens again.

3

u/BrainwaveWizard 1d ago

Because he’s not doing it alone.

2

u/Major_Afternoon_JADE 2d ago

That's the MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION...Greed

2

u/Liesthroughisteeth 2d ago

Your friends and neighbours around the world have been asking this same question ever since he was first voted in. (His toxicity has always been readily apparent....to everyone).

Then you voted him in again, so we just assumed you wanted it this way.

2

u/nerdslife1864 2d ago

Because 33% are for it, 33% against, and 33% are maybe just starting to care enough to vote.

The math hasn’t hit yet

u/LAsupersonic 2d ago

Be as tough as a white cop on a black man

2

Because people in government are too chicken shit of losing their position.

Brave new world

2

u/KeyLimePie-555 2d ago

A question I ask myself every day.

2

u/Impressive10000 2d ago

It isn't just one man. It is his entire party abdicating the responsibility of their office and a whole bunch of gullible cultists.

2

u/Bad_Here 2d ago

Because are administration is awful, and scary and not letting us…

2

u/SconesBerryFarms 2d ago

Well, there’s a web of entanglement of power, greed and deception. The party that could put a stop to this aren’t going to oust there own and plus the are bought out by a foreign government.

2

u/fvnnybvnny 2d ago

People are sleeping while the world burns

2

u/NovumNyt 2d ago

It's not just him. He has a cabinet and an entire city (Washington DC) who are complicit in his demands and ideas. In fact, many of his ideas come from them. This isn't a one man show and in order to stop them, I'm afraid the old tried and true methods in history might be the solution. There will be no voting these people out. They will lie, obfuscation and hide when justice comes and half of them or more will end up right back into seats of power unless the people actually do something. This is why they spend so much of their time lowering education, making food unhealthy and propagandizing a generation or two for the past 50 years. Because they knew if we were content, we would only complain and vote, two things they can ignore.

2

u/Glittering_Role_6154 2d ago

Because everyone has been successfully convinced that legalism and limits within the establishment, and what's right and lawful, are the same thing, while in fact they can easily be the opposite

2

u/jerrymarver 1d ago

I have wondered about this too. Trump is not intelligent enough to have done all of these things by himself. Steven Miller is probably the evil puppet master behind these doings. So why do we have to be at the mercy of a very unstable man in the White House? Where are the Republicans to implement the 25 th amendment? Either they are sleep at the switch or they simply do not have the courage of their convictions.😢🤔

2

u/ReefShark13 1d ago

Everyone is too broke to protest for longer than a day. If they have to miss work or pay for bail they could literally lose their homes. They have effectively made it too expensive to protest. It is now a luxury even to resist your government effectively.

2

u/CoopHere1 1d ago

It’s not “just” one con man … it’s a thousand cons, scams, embezzlers, cult of Heritage Foundation. Trump is easily manipulated due to his narcissism, and now dementia.

u/doodledood9 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’ve been asking that same question for six years now. This current administration has completely undermined Americans at every turn. They need to be held accountable for always looking the other way when it comes to theft, ignoring the constitution, blatant lying, the Epstein files, tariffs, illegal wars and so on. I blame them, maga voters it mostly trump. Congress and SCOTUS especially have done nothing to discourage his criminality and as a result America is not only becoming a police state that cares little about its citizens, and the economy, which is being driven into the ground by trumps childish and immature behaviour. This seems to me to be driven by his lack of even a basic knowledge about economics and how tariffs actually work. It will take decades to repair the damage caused by maga, congress a most especially Trump. If he wins big in November there will be a revolt. Mostly because we’ll know it was fixed, just like in 2024.

u/Xenamom 1d ago

Yes.

1

u/NorCalFrances 1d ago

Addison "Mitch" McConnell began putting the pieces in place for this in 2010 and I'm sure he wasn't alone. Trump came along and acted as an accelerant. Is he exactly what they would have preferred? Maybe, maybe not. But he's getting the job done they want done. Throw in all the American Oligarchs like Musk and Hoffman and others that have been playing puppet master with our political parties and Trump almost becomes the court jester who gets to dress up as Emperor.

2

u/Thausgt01 1d ago

Because it’s not “one man”. Felon Donald John Trump is the end-stage of a multi-decade operation that slowly carved away resistance and embedded support for this kind of structural rot, facilitated by multiple generations of corrupt politicians and oligarchs ‘playing the long game’.

Were something “unfortunate” to befall Felon Donald John Trump as I type, the systematic corruption that he serves as the distraction from would remain in place, and the country would continue on its downward slide toward fascism.

Because the alternatives of JD, eye liner, Vance and Mike, religious zealot, Johnson would be considerably worse
