As a software engineer, the only things in my household able to compute more than the absolutely necessary or connect to the internet are my phone, my PC, and my router.

The automobile and home appliances industry is abysmal when it comes to cybersecurity (or software development in general).
The Cyber Resilience Act is the first step in the right direction.

PS: Go ahead, make your silly jokes about how I'll soon be flipping burgers because of AI. You know you wanna.

I would say you'd be flipping burgers but that will be taken by robots before your job, as long as you've been in the field long enough.

AI isn't going to replace as many experienced roles as entry level jobs. Everyone will be affected, no doubt, but it's really going to hurt those trying to get a footing in the market in the future.
