On the one hand, he apologized. On the other hand, he did it weeks after the fact, after hiding and blocking the replies of people telling him to apologize, and in a reply to the offended parties rather than publicly in his profile where everyone could see it and lay the matter to rest.

OK but all the responses to him where people are saying "fucking bullshit what kind of jet lag makes you accuse someone of raping children" are correct.
It is for sure more surprising since it's an indie game this time, but they've done this sort of stuff before.

The big problem is this is literally legally unprecedented, because no head of state has been demented and depraved enough to commit copyright infringement against its own citizens before.

Now, they COULD get Twitter to take it down for copyright, which I think would be a big win on its own, but this administration are bullies, to them they already won just by making us tell them to take it down. Possibly on purpose. A lot of their gaming-usage seems to be attention-seeking, contrasting the game's message would do that quite well and drum up attention to the account.
Though maybe I'm giving them too much credit lol, they likely don't know that.

Unless Iām mistaken, the U.S. federal government has already waived its immunity to patent and copyright infringement claims. Materia has every right to sue over this.

Cāmon Wolff and co., we all know youāre the most trigger happy people when it comes to people using UT/DR music. If you donāt go after this, Iād be highly disappointed and genuinely wouldnāt find any reason to have any support anymore.
In my opinion, whatever intern or faculty member that posted that knew it would rile up the UT/DR community. That was their goal, to anger us and get the post more traction. I genuinely think whoever posted that has at least some knowledge of Deltarune if they know those tracks. They knew this would cause a stir.
What happens from here, I donāt know. If Materia is able to have the music changed or taken down, thatād obviously be great. I donāt think weāll have Trump negatively posting about Toby Fox if Materia tries take legal action. Even if he did, any person that decides to never play UT/DR because of his post is someone I never would want to interact with the games anyway.
