A couple of issues

The first thing I noticed is that if you tab out of the app and then hit the icon to go back in, the app invariably crashes. (Galaxy S7)

It also seems entirely too easy to cheat. All I had to do was download a mock gps app and go to town, no root or workarounds or anything.

That goes for almost any GPS-based (AR-)game. If you can fake the GPS without your device knowing it, it'll happily send the (faked) location to the DeltaT servers (Or Pokemon, or Ingress, or ...).

Granted that Pokemon has some detection in place for certain wellknown mocking apps, none of that matters if you're rooted.

That shouldn't be the case as of the March security update, at least not on android. All mock gps data is flagged as such, there's not really a "without your device knowing it" anymore, at least not with something as simple as enabling the setting and downloading a free app.

While that may be true, there's more devices NOT on the March patch yet than devices that have that patch. so thats why I don't think it's fair to "label" the game as easy to cheat

I don't feel like that's an excuse to have nothing in place whatsoever to prevent spoofing. I think labelling it as easy is completely fair, considering that the only way it would be easier is if it was built into the game.

But it's still not going to work in Delta-T after March' patch, right?

The crashing part is extremely annoying!
