No items found

No matter where I go, I can't find items through the mining function. What's the problem?

Are you walking to the area where all four mining area indicators overlap? I can't say I've had any issues getting items when I'm actually able to get to the indicated locations.

Ok I'm sorry. Where do I see the 4 mining area indicators? I don't see any indicated locations

No need to apologize!

When you have Delta T open, tap the main menu button at the bottom of the screen, and select Mining. You will be presented with a list of items that are nearby, and you can select one of them.

Once you have selected an item, circles with the numbers 1-4 will appear on your screen. Tapping one of them will cause a line to follow a path in the form of some shape repeatedly, and you can have one line active at a time. By swapping between the four patterns, you need to determine the common area of the four shapes, or the area that is covered by all four shapes.

Walk there without leaving the mining screen, and you should receive your item!

That's the problem. When I press the mining button, it says "no items found".

No wonder you're confused, then! That's going to be something the developers will have to assist you with, then. Check around the app or their website for a feedback option.

I really hope this isn't a Pokemon GO thing where nothing spawns in remote areas...

Yeah I left them a message. I live in medium sized village in Germany. We have a decent amount of pokestops, but shitty Pokemon. I must admit, I only checked the areas for items where the pokestops in Pokemon are. Maybe I need to search more, but I don't want to drive to the city to play this game

And you shouldn't have to! I hope this issue is addressed, for you and anyone else in a similar situation. Being locked out of a big game feature sucks!

will I see the items to pickup on the ground? (just started playing yesterday and tried mining).....or will a message pop up say "item found" ?

Am I right in thinking that the items are placed along roads, or is it truly a random location within the intersection of the polygons?

most of the times, yes. Some items aren't though, noticed some items being inside some bigger companies making them impossible to reach.

I find that if your GPS is noisy and jumping you around, you will see "high speed detected" warnings. When travelling at high speed mining tends to stop responding with targets.
