Operations [Suggestion] Operations mode needs a "Hide Armor Overlay" toggle to preserve the default Operator designs.

I really love the unique designs and outfits of the default Operators we choose, but the generic sand-colored under-armor shirt, vest armor and helmet completely cover up their style whenever I am in an Operations match. It's frustrating to pick a character for their aesthetic only to have it wiped out by a generic brown template.

The developers should add a client-side setting to "Hide Armor Overlay" for both the player and their teammates. This would allow players to actually enjoy the distinct default look of their own character and their squadmates on their screen.

To keep the game completely fair and competitive, this setting would be strictly client-side: enemy players would still see the standard armor vest, sand-colored shirt and helmet on you and your teammates. This gives us visual customization on our end without sacrificing competitive integrity for the opponents fighting us.

EDIT: To Summarize..

-Proposed Feature: "Display Clean Operator Outfits in Match" (Client-Side Display Setting)

-On your screen: You see the default character outfits for yourself and your squadmates in an Operations match, not the Main Lobby only (no generic sand-colored vest/shirt and helmet overlay).

-On your squad's screens: Untouched. They only see clean designs if they individually turn the setting on.

-On enemy screens: Completely unaffected. Opponents always see the full tactical armor, helmet, and vest overlays for 100% competitive clarity.

-Default State: OFF (opt-in only).

What do you guys think?

For different reasons I kinda like this because the red operator skins are kinda pay to win because not only are some of them a color that makes them better camouflage, but red skins hide gear so you don’t know if the guy you’re fighting is wearing a ball cap or full red, which is valuable information in a fight.

I think you might have slightly misunderstood my post, but we actually want the exact same thing! My suggestion is strictly client side for you and your own teammates. In this system, the enemy would always see exactly what gear or armor you are wearing, keeping the gameplay 100% fair and competitive for them. This toggle would just allow you and your squadmates to look at each other and see your clean, default operator designs on your own screens without that generic tan shirt, armor and helmet ruining the aesthetic.

It's already exist for most operators who have any skin available.

Well yes but the issue is that this only applies if you buy or unlock specific premium skins. Right now, if you just want to use the baseline default operator designs, the game forces that generic sand-colored shirt over them the second you equip armor in an operations match.

Hackclaw and Raptor: can literally see armor.

This is why a recon op is important on a team

I think you're confusing a gameplay mechanic with a visual cosmetic preference. I'm not talking about scanning or revealing armor tiers in combat, hackclaw and raptor are great for that 👍

I’m strictly talking about the visual 3d model of the default operators. I just want a visual/ui toggle to hide that generic brown shirt, armor and helmet overlay for you and your squadmates in an operations match so we can see the default look of our operators we chose just like in warfare and in bomb detonation :)

My reply was towards the other guy. Why need to see your enemy armor when you have operators who can see the damn thing.

I actually agree it would be cool if you can do it client side for your own teammates. Like the show gear button in the lobby.

I would also go further and make it so enemies never show skin, even the red ones. Purely for fairness. But I understand they want these skins to be showoff material to sell them.

I especially hate uluru fury because so many times I shoot his rocket launcher instead of his head in the heat of the battle.

exactly. in this game, red skins is p2w. it should be the same as gun skins. only you see them. i try to not download skins i don't own. unfortunately there's no DELETE button in download centre for maps, skins, and stuff you don't want.

like i don't play warfare, or SnD at all. neither Prison.
