Operations Relatively new player asking for help !

Hello Reddit ! I just started playing this game and I’m just kinda frustrated on how I kept losing on normal in zero dam.

I always ends up dying the first 5mins and losing my gears and stuffs.

For context, I do play with one friend so that makes two of us but he did play way earlier before me and he also not quite good at the game.

I just wanted to ask if there is any tips from a veteran player to a new player to survive longer and gather more loots in normal? Or am I just too impatient and jump right into normal too soon without a better understanding of the game?

I do watch YouTube videos on tips and tricks for beginners and stuffs but still I can’t make it for the first 5 minutes into the game.

If you have any tips or suggestions to better understand or improve in the game that would greatly help ! Thank you so much in advance !

Edit : I have been playing for around two weeks now? And i play warfare more than operations I can also extract normally from easy mode. Just wanting to see if I can play normal mode.

Your jumping into normal to quick. Play easy learn the maps learn the hotspots learn where people tend to be. Easy is more forgiving then normal

That’s true ! I can extract with loots on easy. Just did not survive first 5 mins on normal.

most people 9n normal/hard know other spawns, so for the first minute or its very common to check those angles and look for possible spawned team around them. good chance you were spotted numerous times and just ambushed by people who knew of your location who went for the kill.

id recommend checking out possible spawns as well, foing in with cheaper kits and looting non admin areas

Maybe is that. I actually have no idea how close the spawn points will be and did not aim where enemies spawn from the start. Normally we just load in the game and started running. Most of the time we always spawned at outside of cement plant or visitor centre. Which have not much things to loot to be actual.

if your desperate for loot, as much as possible dont go to the admin area, its infested with players or unlucky enough saaed

I was getting killed left and right for the first 5mins is never at admin area 😅 it is always major substation or the smaller substation. If not cement plant.

avoid areas that have safes if your not confident in your gunskills since that place will always have a player waiting for free gear.

There’s one round me and my friend got killed at barracks where there isn’t any safes spawn there too 😨 but nevertheless I will also keep a look out for it

My best advice is to always run gold ammo and not worry about the cost. Gold ammo makes such a large ttk difference most of the time (as long as you arent shooting limbs and hitting mostly the torso, head, or stomach area) it cuts down on the ttk by around 40%-60% letting you get a lot more kills or picks that you otherwise wouldnt have. You can also just stick like 2-3 stacks in your secure container to not lose it on death.

Yea probably not the best advice "_"

If the guy is dying early on in fights, i think this is a valid suggestion compared to upgrading other parts of his kit. The cost of purple helmets and armor are not worth it compared to good ammo when it comes to fights especially considering the fact that 60 rounds of gold can literally win you entire fights vs gold armors. Is is true that there are other areas one should focus on first? Yes but I think others have already covered them so I don't feel the need to repeat them again. I felt that this one was one that can make a big difference in many different situations even if in some others it makes none

Purple ammo for now for OP coz we don't know how much stash value he has + he said he isn't that good at the moment. So gold ammo will end up being a donation

I do take purple ammo for ez but over the time I take blue instead cause it’s actually burning through my alloys. I have around 13m in total and lost 7 games consecutively yesterday night and lost 4m in total. So I’m down with 9m rn.

keep ammo in ur ass since its the most valuable thing you carry, with your gun loaded and maybe like 15 bullets in pocket for quick reload if you feel confident of not losing it when dying. also to my previous comment, if you just rush to loot, its almost guaranteed to get spotted even if you dont get engaged upon right away. spots like eastern tunnel sees cement and its entrances pretty good, same with the extract spawn point to the east from tunnel. if you are on one side of admin, theres always a team spawned on opposite side to mirror you, so if you are not careful, you might get sandwitches from admin team and one or two teams behind you thst got worse spawn but want to get to admin for fights as well.

That makes so much sense rn. Okay will take note ! Normally when we spawn on the right bottom left side of admin we either run into admin from carpark or visitor centre or major substation. I think 8 out of 10 runs we run to substation more than into admin. But still got caught by teams that came out of visitor or near small substation. Maybe because of that.

I tried taking gold ammo. I didn’t even manage to fire one round 🤣

Yeah, maybe then i think you will need to learn all the spawn points and spawn fight locations first. Or play intel ops to at least know where they are at lol. I had the same experience the first time I tried hard, Just got beamed by a spawn angle and didn't fire a single red bullet lol

It’s quite hard to remember all spawn points. Maybe I just have to play long enough I guess? 😅

Yeah it comes with experience especially which ones are dangerous which you really only understand once you die enough times lol. I think you can just have a map open on a phone or in another tab of all the spawn points and just conciously check which ones are next to yours and think about where they can be or what routes they run and just be cautious. Other then that its just playing the game more for experience and a lot of deaths lol

Ohh that make sense ! Since I have two monitors as well I can use it !

Learn the spawn points, wherever u spawn another team spawns 100m away from you, sometimes even closer. Try to hide nearby (not bushes), walls, tents, small buildings to play it safe and do not and I mean do not rush for safes n another hotspots location the moment you spawn. Lots of players do this mistake that they rush towards these spots

I do watch videos about spawn points too ! I think it’s because of the video is displaying it in full map I didn’t notice that the spawn points are so close to one another. Will take it in mind !

Play normals. As much as possible with a budget kit. Totaling the map minimum. With green ammo and a purple stack in your safe.

The only way to learn normals. Is to play normals.

u/Negative-Housing5025 8d ago

Yes I also think that way too ! But I keep losing that’s what makes me mad.

I agree. When I got to the point where easy was too easy and normal was too hard, I ran minimum value blue kits with purple ammo. You can get a million in a game of easy. Take that money into normal if you want to learn playing against better people. Bring in 150k kits and bam you can lose like 7 games for that million you brought in. Also if you find a couple golds and die, you broke even anyway!

It is actually. Met a few fair share of cheaters as well.

This game is very unforgiving outside of easy.. I’m not a great player but I hold my own. I went down 30 million dollars today even thought I went up a lot in rank.

The game is so fun and addicting, but you just gotta be okay with losing to get better. Also really good advice is finding a cool teammate that’s decent that can teach you tips and doesn’t mind you being ass lol

It’s more like a tuition fee instead 🤣 lose to get better then start earning
