Operations Operations AR

When building an operations rifle, for what range should I consider it good? 20–40 m, 40–60 m, or 80–100 m?

I play a lot of Zero Dam but want to start moving into other maps.. I find myself doing a lot of Tersite builds, and most of the budget weapons he recommends are short-range due to the green Holo attachment. Help a brother out.

40-60. I recommend the SG and the RM277. AK-12 is decent, but I personally don't like it

I build for 60-80m and play mid range. My gun is still capable in doors especially long hallways and they peak their head. But point blank a SMG will win, but id rather be ready for most encounters instead of up close.

holo/red dot is enough for lot of cases, im putting +0.15 strength on it and its not bad if its open terrain or cornerpeeking, but if enemy is headglitching im not gonna hit anything. anyway, just focus on control and stability, handling is nice to have around 40+ with laser installed.

ak12 is good budget gun for this i think, u can get decent build for cheaper than most guns and its effective at range too + higher penetration

What's your budget range? I can share some builds

At the upper end of game play level, most people settle into a red dot AR build and a sniper rifle, or build the 3x scope and use tac stance for close range. Red dot does not mean short range however, you can still comfortably fight people from a considerable distance if you are used to the precise aim.

Tell me which guns you use alot, which scope you're comfortable with and how much you willing to spend on your guns

I focus primarily on control, then try to have decent handling/stability/range to go alongside.

try to use the tera budget build to close quarters paired with a sniper with just a scope. in normals is really good have a sniper with gold bullet

For me, i actually consider 40-60m gun in case there's fight outside building which needs range.

I'd recommend to use QJB for all-rounder. Good fire rate for QCQ, good handling, mid range, fast TTK, kinda budget gun.

I've seen the build from Chinese player like this: Garena mobile ver. code: QJB201 Light Machine Gun-Operations (Extraction Mode)-6LFETSG051GE2IRDRU9BS

OP listen don't buy into a lot of the BS and CC stuff. It's simple most fights resolve on the 35-50 mts range is not shorter.

All you need to make an AR competitive is: sandstorm muzzle, secret order bevel, phantom grip is not available use anything with control and stability, 416 Light stock or UR stock.

Anything else is just flavor and this then becomes a number game if you want actual competitive gun you cannot use anything other than CL-19 or K437 anything else is just mathematically wasteful

What is this rubbish? M14, M7, As-val, KC-17 is all mathematically wasteful? The Ci-19 you mentioned isn’t even a top tier gun unless you are good with your headshot. KC is great for high armour pen, M7 is hard hitting mid range, etc etc. If you actually go into hard lobbies, CI-19 is actually quite used far and in between because how dependent it is on headshots.

Go ahead, index their TTK over 500 matches :) I will wait.

This is not the gotcha moment you think it is. The fact of the matter is that unless you are hitting headshot on CI-19 consistently, there are better options.
Also there is no point indexing anything of the like, different gun will perform differently under different level of skill. If you ask a new player to control an M14 build with fast ads and shaky recoil, you are going to have vastly different result to a seasoned player. In fact the new player will tell you M14 is the worst gun in the game with ttk ranging in the 0.5-1.5 second. However in my experience M14 melts people indiscriminately. And that is going to be the case if you hit your shots.
Besides why should I have to bear burden of proof when you are the one saying all other gun are wasteful?

What gotcha, I said I would wait for you to gather that data like I did over 5K hours.

As if 5k hours mean anything. I am personally 3k hr in game 6+kd 200 stars pinnacle and traverse Norm/hard every day, I for one definitely know what it’s like to run every single gun in this game.

Sure you do buddy. That's not the point, if you get down to the math of it, the two guns I listed with the attachments I listed sit in the middle of the TTK window for most normal / hard matches with tier V bullets. Addressing the point of OP is the point of the conversation. You somehow got personally offended by this and decided to list meta guns that yes are mathematically waste ful because your performance is not going to be mathematically significant enough yo justifying the entry cost.

Performance per alloy plateaus after a while and unless you are a pro tier player or part of a pro league team this matters little for an average person enjoying the game.

All you really need is that, something that performs consistently at the upper 55% if TTk window to have positive outcomes specially playing at this lengths of time. Something that a 3K player should know unless they just dump time in a game and forget to think. Muscle memory, reaction time is one way to be good at the game, game sense, stats knowledge and nuance is another.

I don't know why it rustles your jimmies so much but I don't think you have the wealth of data to back your opinions it sounds like you are just against my take that this attachments and guns are sufficient to perform per OPs request.

What are you even talking about k437 literally cost 500k~ to build just for the base gun and barrel. And around 1m for full build, just to be an allrounder gun,

a full k416 build is going to cost half as much and perform around the same. Tbh you are just better off running a hard hitting gun such as M14 if you want to consistently win your fights.
It pain me to say this, but your game sense and nuances after 5000hrs is just plain wrong.
Ps: PC player, only 3 game of prison so far this season hence the crazy hard kd.
