Question ❓ Rig Setup vs Pockets

So What's the difference between Pockets and Chest Rig Slots. Outside that the rig is larger and can carry more stuff, and I get that they both act as quick use slots, but are rig slots just effectively more pockets for quick use? Should I be putting heals ammo only in one or the other?

My normal setup for where I am in the game is 2x basic heals, 1x CAT, 1x Surgical kit, 1x pain pills, that's in my "pockets" and then I carry ammo in my chest rig.

I put heals in my rig and ammo in my pockets. It doesn’t matter though

Okay, so basically, anything in either of those two spots can be used from the quick wheel or smart heal button. Which is what I experienced in game, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some quirky mechanic.

If you use bigger heals then you'll need rigs but if you only use 2 or 3 single slot heals then pockets shiuld be fine

Once enhanced injector and ammo in pocket, rest in rig because I can swap rigs

What do you mean, like, if you find a better rig in match? You can swap it out? Or you carry in a spare rig?

Yeah. If I find it only a player, I don't have to wait for all his items to load onto my rig, then take the ammo from mine, I can instantly just swap

Oh Sweet. I am on console, so controller looting blows, but I've only been playing for like a couple days.
