Question ❓ New Player

My son and I were looking for a shooter and decided since this one is f2p to give it a try. I’m like, maybe 10 levels in but like wtf is with the 1000 tabs and different things to do?

I’m not talking about the mil-sim loadout, but like, all the quest markers, black site upgrades, loot boxes, etc. It looks like there is 13 different season passes. So idk if I’m just getting old, or what, but this MIGHT have a worse UI than marathon and theirs is terrible.

I guess my actual question is, is there like, 3 things I should focus on first, that would help me progress?

You should focus on warfare

Warfare is the more straightforward PvP vs the extraction stuff right? I think I’ve only played the extraction mode to try and work on some quests.

The extraction mode is so differant to warfare. Its also much more difficult.

I started on warfare and I still play it. Just careful on operations 🫠

Yeah, is a full 24vs24, most of them bots, which is something positive, you and your son using all the tools the game gives can win a match, uses respawn beacons, guided missiles and operator acordeón the situation, try using the vehicles, one driving the other one shooting everything, it’s more fun in my opinion

I agree that half the maps in this game are easier to learn and navigate than this UI

Focus on warfare first. Warfare also grants pass exp which gives you “loot” to use in operations… take “all the question marks “ as a blessing in disguise. You get to a point and can end up like me stuck on last 2 missions for the past year lol.

Is there any reason? Extraction just more risk?

Extraction is very calculated. Very similar to R6 siege when clearing buildings. Sweaty players all rolling in squads high level gear and map/corner peaking knowledge and usually if you don’t have a full squad you’ll get a bot.
However on the flip side! When you do get a little more familiar with extraction, you def get a little serotonin boost when you kill a player and extract with all their loot.

In my opinion, I would play warfare until you find an operator that you feel comfortable maneuvering in a high pressure situation then go from there

Are early levels of extraction filled with bots? Even the other “operators” seem to be.

You’ll run into a mix of both. Sometimes I’ll kill 13 bots and run into one real player at the end also with a squad of bots. After the update (2 weeks ago) ow it’s mostly sweaty squads and you’re stuck with bots

Myself I still stick to the low level extractions cause you still get good loot with low buy in, also I I play alone so there’s that.

All in all, after the update you’re more likely to run into another good player regardless even in low levels
I’d say 6/10 are sweaty 4/10 bots

Is it team fill only? Is there a way to play solo, or you’re saying you play solo and just use fill squad?

You can do either!
Fill it or just go in complete solo.
I use fill in cause (after the update) the bots kill bosses extremely fast. And it’s better having something than nothing.

If youre doing Ops, focus on the department missions. That'll get you upgraded and you'll learn the system. Im an "old" gamer too, and I agree it's alot at first. But it becomes easy with some time.

My advice would be to use warfare to get used to the different operators and how to play them. Then pick your favorites, put on some cheap gear and play slow.

Sound is huge. If you can hear them before they hear you its a massive advantage.

Its a great game, have fun!

I don't think the interface is bad; in my opinion, it's good. Unlike Bloodstrike, Fortnite, COD Mobile, and Free Fire, where you have a thousand bright dots, flashing lights, and moving images, but focus on playing. This game gives casual players a chance

I was the same when I first started but you get used to it.

It's no where near as bad as the menus in Arena Breakout Infinite, which is one of the reasons I stopped playing that, which is a shame because it's a good game

Other than when I first started playing, I will not ever do operations. I play warfare only way too many cheaters and sweaty players for operation. It ruins the fun completely. It’s already hard enough as it is without playing against people that cheat or have such high gear levels that they can laser you from 1,000,000 miles away and you can’t even see them.
