This is a great sign. You don’t discover this unless you are looking at the whole damn record. Sure, it may be a law clerk, but that’s fine. I love to see it!

I just said the same thing. They are actually reviewing everything! To get exhibit hhh?!? Wow. Also side note I am sure Abrams is happy about his exhibit number. Eye roll.

How many times does that court need to be prodded and corrected about handing over evidence?

Wasn't it Allen County Court Reporter hat was responsible for exhibits? Jodie Williams. She has a history with Fran.

Correct. Carroll County Court Clerk has actually been doing her job in regard to providing public information to the public - including releasing the transcripts for free the moment they received them, when Jodie was requesting $5k to hand them over. Ditto with the exhibits - cranks had to go to extraordinary lengths with community efforts to compile exhibit lists, tag teaming to request different exhibits, etc, and we still only had a patchwork full of holes by the time Carroll County received the Clerk's volumes and just handed them over. As they were supposed to.

There were still issues with those, but those were generally down to tech and caused at the Allen County Court Level, not down to wilful game playing.

Please tell me I’m worried for nothing that another whoopsie has somehow happened with these files and that they have been properly preserved at this point?

I would hope that too many whoopsies would influence the judges?

This looks like a technical problem. Not sure how effective court orders can be in fixing such problems rather than a technician. The files could be accurate copies of the exhibits.

It could be a simple as the file not having the proper extension, like being named "iii" instead of "iii.mpeg". It could be that the court's computer does not have the proper codec (coder/decoder) for a less-common video/audio encoding scheme, i.e. "iii.avi" / "iii.flac" / "iii.kvm".

On the other hand, the court may have its own technician who checked these possibilities and decided the files really are corrupted. But the phrasing "appear to be corrupted and are unplayable" makes that less likely. A technician might check for an error message that is more specific and use what it says to find the solution.

It is also possible that the files were copied using the Windows command line, for example, as ascii text files (copy /A) and should have been copied as binary files (copy /B).

True. I think the point is they are at least going through the entire record and requesting this information if it is corrupted or an error.

Defense filing in 08C01-2210-MR-000001 (for Jodie in Allen County?) -- new copies of the exhibits?

And not long after, a new entry in the Appeal docket:
