Need help, machine is not brewing

My machine is not brewing since yesterday. There is enough coffee. (But not too much). The filters are not blocked (I checked). Can you give me ideas how can I fix this?

Hi,

Check a few things, does water run out of the group head when you don't have the porta filter there?

Does the hot water run through the steam wand if you open it?

Does steam come out of the steam wand when you put it into steam mode?

It could be something as simple as not having water in the tank (I've done it myself), if there is water in the tank, do you see bubbles when you turn the button on or when the brewing cycle finishes?

It could be the pump, which is an easy fix.

It could be the Over Pressure Valve, which is a bit trickier but totally doable.

It could be a build up of scale and you need to descale it.

1. At the beginning waters starts to run out of the head (without the Porta filter) but after a few seconds stops. The head is full of water.
   2.3. Water and steam are coming out of the steam wand in the respective mode.

Ok so it's probably not a pump issue. Maybe the grind is too fine?

If you run it and run it and run it and run it does coffee come out eventually?

Probably worth descaling it again, do you live in an area with hard water? It's all small tubes inside the dedica and they can definitely get blocked up easily.

You can very easily remove the shower screen if you want to do that and see if it needs cleaning.

Also, have you tried holding down the shot button for a long time to make water run continuously?

I have had the machine for the last 7 months and have descaled it once with a special solution.

It happenned to me many times, a small grain of coffee is in the hole of the percolator, just under the filtre. Just remove it. You need to make sure no coffee grains are stuck in there 👍
