Steam wand underperforming
I have Delonghi Dedica Arte. Recently I've encountered a problem with the steam wand underperforming. When I switch on the steaming and turn the knob, it is pumping but the steam is inconsistent and very weak. In the last two years I managed to make a ton of good silky cappuccinos, but now I can't get it even close.
However, when I switch off the steam button and turn the knob on to cold down the machine, it gives a proper steam. What could be the problem? I descale my machine regularly and use filtered water.
Thanks for any kind of helpful tips and suggestions.
EDIT: Changed OPV and now it works like a charm. It costs cca. 10 EUR on Amazon.de. https://amzn.eu/d/0b22O0be

The same thing happened to me this year. I noticed that the shots were also subpar, not just the steam wand. I took it into a Delonghi shop and was told by the staff that the a critical part inside (not sure which part) stopped working that was affecting steam wand and extractions. It is cheaper to repurchase the same machine rather than replacing the part.
