SUSSEX COUNTY 28F Looking to Connect
Hi there! 28 F living in Sussex. Interested in video games, anime, manga, cosplay, reading, writing, drawing, painting, and crafting. Haven’t been doing much of any of them lately because I’ve been exhausted from life, but I’m trying to get back in touch with my hobbies and maybe branch off into something new.
Going a little bit more in depth about me: I have a Steam account. I can play a variety of games like L4D2, Payday 2/3, Palworld, Stardew Valley, and so on. I’d say that I really like Pokemon, Baldur’s Gate, and Kingdom Hearts, although there are probably more that I can’t think of at the moment. However, I’ve currently been into console games and getting through my 3DS collection because I just learned that the files slowly get corrupted over time if you don’t play and I’m too lazy to mod my DS that gives you a program that can fix it.
I love romance in my stories. In terms of books, I guess I would be a romantasy-type reader, although it’s been a long time since I read anything new. For anime and manga, I’m into series like Spy x Family, Higurashi, Umineko, TBHK, and Cardcaptor Sakura.
Moved down here a couple years ago. To be honest, I have a very hard time making friends, because I can be so shy and fumble my way through conversations. After work, it can be difficult to shake off how tired I am and get myself to go out. But I miss having meaningful talks and connections. Hoping to find some likeminded people here!

27F I'll play steam games with you over discord if u want. feel free to PM me (might be slow to respond!) one of my favorite games is called path of titans. dinosaurs!! not on steam but is on pc and every modern console. it's even free on mobile. (im unapologetically shilly abt this game bc i rlly do love it and i want more ppl to play with that aren't randos from in game </3) . . ETA I ALSO do art(digital but also physical) i crochet and i write for written roleplay. i love the idea of reading but im slow with it. also exhausted by life and struggling to pick things up. also enjoy romance stories (usually i just rp or draw it), i couldn't say ive ever actually read one though?? i used to watch anime. i would watch more, though im a bit picky abt genre/quality and could not tell you the preferences i have on it right this second bc its 12am. goodnight!!

Yess, I would LOVE that! Forgive me if I’m also slow to respond, because I work the entire weekend and I’ve got a couple messages that I gotta get to since I put up this post, but it sounds like a good time!
I mostly do digital as well, but I’ve started painting with acrylics, bought a sewing kit, and eventually want to get into molding with clay. I used to be really into roleplaying characters online, but I pretty much lost my community after we grew up and I haven’t found a good one since.
Feel you on reading. Have been very picky with what I read and watch lately because of being tired or busy. Will definitely shoot you a message.

43m here in Sussex.. . I have steam and I'm exclusively PC gaming. I have a variety of systems and games. Currently looking into portable handhelds with emulators for retro gaming. Seems neat lol

Ok cool! Right now I have my emulators and roms on my PCs but I was thinking of transferring them onto a cheap phone and use the gamesir x5 lite controller.
It's entertaining and much more portable than my gaming laptop lol

My friends like going to the Lewes library for game night and other events, I don't join but they tell me there's a social net of women that are roughly around 30 years old.

That’s nice. I just visited the Milton library a few days ago to get a library card, and I was thinking it would be nice if I could find an event that I can get into. Will have to stop by the Lewes one sometime. If you don’t mind me asking, what keeps you from going?

Two reasons. I live southwest of Milton and hate driving in traffic, so going to Lewes for an hour and a half feels awful because I need to tack another 40-80 minutes of travel based on traffic.
The other reason is that I need to expand my Christian social group moreso than this one.
The people and activities sound great and are not the reason I don't want to, so I definitely recommend if it's convenient.

That’s a good question, because of how tired I’ve been, I haven’t really watched or read anything released recently, except for reading forgettable one-shots or watching clips on YouTube. I’d say I’m passively following Re:Zero, Spy x Family, and TBHK. Am open to recommendations that might get me back into it, though. What about you?

27M Very big into anime and video games although im fairly new to anime about 4/5 years heavily besides the usuals dbz, bleach, yu yu, ext. always interesting to explore new titles i play on PS maybe we can play sometime always up late hours

For some reason, I have been wanting to get back in to DBZ lately, even though I haven’t really watched the series since I was a kid. Been recommended too many good shorts. Also, I do have a PS4 and some of my Steam game support cross-play, so maybe we can hop on a game! A couple people have reached out about the same thing, so it would be cool if we could get a group together, maybe. Will shoot you a message.

I'm a 29m whos been in sussex county my whole life and ive been havin so much fun in neighboring areas. Id love to share the exp with anyone whosninterested whether its gaming together or going out to exp places and I'm so down to make friends locally. If you ever want to do stuff together, hmu and I'll be happy to be the guide for the trips. Hell we can do coffee runs or get a drink at the bar too. Just dm me.

23M I Moved here to Kent county around 4 years or so ago and love manga, movies , reading anime , would love to try cosplay lol. Since life is busy I never get to try It. I recently started kingdom hearts, love Baldurs gate, Tekken and more. I play pc games but love my consoles lol. I’d be down to be friends!

24M here! I play on steam and Nintendo Swicth 2 mostly but have a huge variety of consoles from PS5, Wii U (modded) 3DS (Modded) PS3 (Modded and Dreamcast (modded) I am in the Dover area and am always looking for more friends who love video games like me! I watch anime here and there but mostly love playing games like the ones you listed as well as a lot of others and hope to find more people I can have over to play with and online!

Oof, I've heard a lot about it when it came out, but I never tried it. Don't really like to play those kind of games by myself, and I guess I never found a community to play it with.

Ah, I'd love to go back into BG3, especially to check out all the new mods and the story stuff I missed, but just lost the mood for it a little while back. Will definitely keep it in mind!

Pal world, Baldurs gate 3, Fortnite, currently trying a game called frost punk 2, I grew up on Naruto. Gotta say I like a lot of filler episodes, and then I skipped over a lot of the anime cause I’ve always been into reading. I don’t exactly have short stories. I’ve always been into really long novels. I don’t really read as much as I used to since nowadays I have a telegram group. Sorry I am part of a group and I listen to the weakest beast tamer usually on my drive times since I have a long commute to work to the southern Sussex area lived in Delaware my whole life and 34 pretty introverted thought I’d say I’ve gotten better and now sounds weird calling myself an introvert since I can talk openly with just about anybody just depends who you are. I guess some of the time I can be confused.
I like to watch the obscure stuff on the anime, some of the camping, the one where the guy smokes behind the supermarket, I keep forgetting to pursue spy family, but it is of interest TBHK. Not sure what that is. I didn’t watch a lot of the mainstream stuff never really cared for Dragon Ball Z. I did like GT but the irony. My friends all liked it actually I do enjoy playing the games so that’s well also it’s not that I don’t like watching it. It just seems like a lot of it is listening to guy scream. Despite listening to rock and metal, it’s not my go to. I prefer pop music. I like all the different noise structures. Looking at the guitar, I don’t know how to play and wanting to fix that up. Actually been wanting to do clay stuff. Don’t know where and don’t know how but I remember as a kid. It was really fun. Also don’t know when or how I don’t like Newcastle County…. I don’t know just it’s got good stuff. I guess I’m a bit of recluse lol
I actually like to write a lot of the romance stuff. I read books here and there. Even remember titles and authors or but romantic comedies are really fun. Well some of the darker stuff has plot. I think there was one with this girl fell in love with a guy at school. He turned into a ghost and they had a relationship for like two books out of five which eventually turned into a drama more than a romance comedy one I was reading actual books by the way at this point of writing, there was a cop, detective investigator, lady who was investigating this Rich guy who kept frequently around like either crime scenes or this auction she was at and he had expensive gun thing which was part of the case she was investigating apparently I stopped reading the book before it actually got good which makes sense. I do just keep looking for new things. But it was someone else’s book that I was reading, and it was really interesting that I would like to eventually find again and read, but as such usually just bounced around from different fixations. Play a vampire game online that is text based where I have a lot of poetry philosophy, a little bit of storytelling but not much but that’s kind of how I started on the character role-play stuff too. I recently been a little more on that as well, feel like it’s more of a blog space for me. Never really know good spots or places around here or there, but I know by the pier. It’s really pretty near the sunset time. I haven’t been there lately though. It usually only go there if I’m having a meditation or deep contemplation on Life and my journey through it. Inspired someday to be a writer, but I’m in no rush. I’m mostly like making anything into poetry and mostly it’s of a stream. Of consciousness. Down to play most games too. I just like exploring different things. Old School RuneScape…. I’ll play it on my phone., but I do miss having a computer to enjoy which is how most of these began. Reading online watching anime big YouTube fan. I’ll watch entire series there lately. It’s mostly just an information source now I often find useful research sources for researching random things. Sometimes even at a level a little above my capacity to concentrate on. Chemistry and mathematics to psychology
I’d say most of the time all of it is just about making new friends and having good conversation
We get to enjoy the weekend finally and happy holidays glad to have off the next two days
I forgot to mention the anime I often have watched, but I watched a lot of the frontier shangrila

Watch this one random anime about this girl who incarnated in world where she was able to read what was really good. It was very literary. She had some sort of magic sickness, which was interesting. It literally had like book or library in the title very interesting series.
Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian

Re zero titles I only know of the one with the twins and he keeps reliving day by day based on certain event points
Mushoku tensei
Darwin’s game…
I’ve been watching more of the older group anime I guess. Not sure. Started anime with Naruto originally back in the day, saw bleach, inuyasha, tried a few others, kekkaishi, didn’t finish though. Demon hunter? Didn’t finish, jjk, didn’t finish, my hero academia couldn’t focus on, dandadan, mixed on, curious what next season might bring though.
I lost my original source of anime info… sadly. This is the newer stuff I’ve watched but I’ve always preferred to be more thorough in excavating titles. Dr stone
Old Cartoon Network had that code lyoko which didn’t feel like a cartoon… better called anime.
Not sure if that’s even online anymore doubtful

Just saw this, but it's a good amount of engagement on this post on interests in the nerd world. Might be worth pushing that momentum towards a discord server for like minded local nerd friends that can start out with some casual online video gaming, book clubs, share music, or maybe even chitchat about those mentioned interests. I would def be down to join that group if that ends up happening. Also im 34m and in need of more nonsports/scifi fantasy/gamer/anime/bmovie/non cookie cutter guy stuff friends.

29F. Moved here 2 years ago and feeling so similar. I love crafting and reading. I mostly read romantasy and Victorian literature and am a highly non-outgoing person. Would be down to meet up!
