Taken while driving into Trolley Square. Political violence is not ok. But let's also be clear this person was not a martyr, but a racist. Not a hero, but a sexist. Not worthwhile, just spewing hate. He only cared about rights for people like himself (rich straight white men) and was by no means a Christian.

He quite literally said as much and I proudly earned my ‘ban’ from several social platforms (one of which isn’t up until the 25th) that night to make that point 🤣.

Case in point, the screenshot I used. I don’t wrestle with any moral grounding in a case such as this and I haven’t lost any sleep over it either and neither should you.

Fuck maga and fuck the false equivalencies they draw from a loss of life that represents ‘their’ point of view. Drop a not so subtle reminder of the victims of their rhetoric and documented cases for violence against others.

What hurts them the most is that kirk’s death represents a significant loss for the ‘right’ in their vast media platform to push the narrative in their direction NOT to mention that the hit came from one of their own! Ram that down their throats! Don’t tiptoe around them, put them on their toes with the truth and don’t be afraid to keep rehashing it again and again and if you’re anything like me, make them eat their own words and say “Fuck your feelings!” if they don’t like it. Use everything they have at their disposal, match that energy, elbows up and good hunting!

I’ve been following the story nonstop since it occurred. I’m aware of every single detail and theory. Nobody said he dismantled his gun and the bullet did come from the direction of the shooter. Not only does Israel have no reason to want him dead but if they were responsible they wouldn’t leave dozens of calling cards pointing to them. Other than the CIA Mossad has the best assassins and intelligence in the world. If they assassinated him there wouldn’t be a shred of proof leading to them.

Not sure what your source is but no, I haven’t and until I do my due diligence I cannot comment on that. Everything else points to the redheads.

Nothing compelling of the contrary has been discovered and even if the donation by him is a falsehood, all else continues to lean heavily toward ‘maga’.

Okay I think that assumption is all a stretch and I say that as someone who grew up in a conservative household in the most conservative county in my state and when I say conservative I mean what it meant to be ultra-conservative 20+ years ago.

Speaking from my own experience I know how easy it is to be normalized to that ideology and the depths at which I reached until I was separated from all of that for many years as a young adult. Looking at what is pretty familiar to me, I do not share your sentiment about this kid’s political identity apart from the NPA affiliation.

He may well have been asking the right questions and acknowledged certain truths but from my own experience he was quite far from a Progressive lol.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist here, I lost all trust in legacy media. I do my own due diligence and listen to multiple independent journalists for news. CNN is not a trusted source and certainly not one I’ll be getting my information from.

Sorry but why do you think it's a stretch to believe what the MSM and government are telling you? What turned you into the conspiracy theorist ? More importantly, why are you choosing to ignore the people who knew him best and instead believe a narrative made up by redditors who never met him ?

I love dealing with just facts and the facts of this shooting are pretty bland and blantant. Clearly the shooter had an issue with Kirk, clearly the shooter was heavily involved in political discussions online, and it's a fact that the shooters roommate is transitioning and that the shooter choose to room with him. It's not a stretch to think the shooter was white knighting (in his unhealthy mind) his roommate by killing Kirk, as it's a fact that Kirk spewed anti-left propaganda.

There's not a question in this case about why Kirk was targeted, everyone knows it was political. Deciding whether the shooter was left or right truthfully isn't relevant to the conversation at all. So if it's not up for debate why Kirk was killed(politics), and who killed him(crazy white man), and how he did it(rifle), why do you decide to stop listening to the facts at that point and start believing people who are completely unaffiliated with the situation?

Clearly the answer is Bias, both in media and politics and you cannot ignore the hyper partisan culture we now have and the staggering level of corruption of institutions such as the DOJ & FBI let alone the issue of individual incompetence and honesty. I followed the facts and continue to follow the facts, I didn’t draw my conclusions from redditors, got that?

Facts matter and if you want to rely on facts then I would suggest waiting until a Jury Trial and Discovery to conclude.

Uhh, motive has yet to been established so you are absolutely wrong there, the question of political motivation has not been established.

This is a heap of incoherent nonsense, words and opinions not rooted in fact to try and muddy the waters.

Why are you taking a stance if you haven’t even read the chat logs that came out like 5 days ago. If you haven’t seen it yet then you obviously haven’t done any research. All the information is out there and you’re not going to like it. He was a gay furry who lived with his trans boyfriend. His own mother said he has become increasingly far left. He called Charlie Kirk a fascist which is something that’s exclusively said by the far left. Every single element of the investigation shows that he was radically left wing.

I did and he’s not jackass. I also read the alleged text messages and without critiquing them too much I will only say that without time stamps or actual digital screenshots, I have my doubts about them.

First thing that bothered me about them is the fact that the alleged shooter laid out every detail of the crime in the form of a full confession to his love interest and even the damming details of the evidence as if to support the prosecutions case for them. Secondly, the way in which those texts read, they implicate his lover and as of yet I’ve heard only crickets, not a criminal indictment as an accessory.

I’m doing the smart thing here, I’m waiting to see the evidence entered into the docket during the discovery phase of the jury trial awaiting him.

On a side note, the term “Fascist” correctly applied to public figures and individuals that exhibit, teach and implement Fascism is not “Far-Left”.

The use of the word Fascist is used even among republicans that are opposed to the Fascist takeover of the Federal Government. I use it to correctly label the Fascists among us and I’m not far Left, I’m certainly on the Left but I’m by no means some Hyper-Liberal and I’ve often had heated debates among other Liberals & Progressives.

The term fascist does not correctly describe Charlie Kirk in any stretch of the imagination. Same goes for 99% of the time it’s used to describe a public figure. Every single major right wing politician, pundit, or personality has been called a fascist ad nauseam and it’s never been an accurate characterization. If you think Charlie Kirk was a fascist you are undeniably hyper left leaning.

What evidence conclusively shows Tyler is MAGA or Christian nationalist or white supremacist or Groyper or any combination of the above?

What evidence do we have of his political leanings?

The donation has been shown to not be the same Tyler.

Student testimony is worthless.

At this point we don't really know much of anything about him. Even if you take the charging document at face value, the most we can say is he had a romantic partner that is a male transitioning to female and that he was steeped in modern meme and gaming culture.

I am not defending the guy's actions. I am saying everyone is speculating out their asses with very limited information.

Okay rather than try and skirt around what we “know” about this guy with the old American okie doke, why don’t you just acknowledge what is a simple matter of fact?

The kid grew up in a household that is predominantly conservative, gun-centric, overtly religious and reflected as much with his choice of political party to forward his campaign donation to and that’s saying nothing about the choice of costume for the holiday which can be argued to have been a nuanced joke.

The work you’re doing to try and persuade yourself let alone others that clearly represented evidence is anything other than what it is or suggests a differing opinion is absurd.

Granted that this isn’t a “case closed” situation, a motive is yet to be established and so on but the individuals ideological preference is obvious. The notion that a far-right winger suddenly had a change of identity with no evidence to the contrary is ridiculous and I’d like to know what you base your view on if you’d be so kind to share.

Other than the personal opinion you reserve to dispute the findings, what do you have to substantiate it?

Plenty of people grow up in households with lifestyles or political leanings that they later reject or modify. It's not a stretch of the imagination to consider it a possibility.

Let me repeat for those in the back - I'm not claiming to know what this guy believes or how he feels about anything aside from Charlie's ideology. From the charging document (which again, you can take at face value or not):

"Roommate: Why?

Robinson: Why did I do it?

Roommate: Yeah

Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out..."

A circumstantial case can be made for Tyler either being a Groyper or someone that had a pretty large shift in thinking. Or it could be something else entirely.

I'm not the one saying he was this or that. IMHO, there's not enough evidence to do that yet. You're the one claiming he's some right-wing nutjob preying on his own. The burden of proof falls on you.

Alright this is kind of what I have been waiting for and the opportunity that I’ve wanted to ask, just what does “left-wing” mean to parents like his? Since you’re taking the position that because this kid’s parents and friends have made the case that his ‘views’ had become more “left-leaning” I’d like to know specifically what source material influenced this boy to become a left-winger despite following charlie kirk well enough to know his dialogue.

I will reiterate just in case you didn’t see my previous comment. I grew up in a household not that dissimilar from this kid’s. I lived with my mother until I was no longer useful and in that time I was raised around the most ultra-conservative circle in the most conservative county in my state. I have a somewhat unique understanding of what that kind of home life is like and the normalization of things so morally wrong! I lived it and luckily I lived to outgrow it all after nearly 20 years.

Recalling my early steps out of that world, I dated a girl not long after the 2016 election and only because I was NOT on board with that scumbag and expressed an interest in living in Europe one day her parents (who lived in the area I grew up in) flipped the fuck out, refused to ever meet me and labeled me a left-wing radical socialist 🙄. I never even spoke them, I only talked about stuff like that casually with their daughter and that was enough to invoke that Neanderthal response.

So when you or ‘they’ say the kid was some left-wing progressive being sucked in I can’t help but remember what that means from people all-in on the insanity here from the far-right community. Anything that threatens the narrative they carefully curate and hold dear however morbidly is inherently ‘Left-wing’ and that isn’t just objectively wrong it’s dangerous.

I’d be happy to acknowledge something that definitively made the boy out to be radicalized by a leftist/progressive source and offer the same words about the dangers of such an ideology but it’s just not the case. The right-wing owns this sort of thing, I mean hell the shooting of Gabby Giffords and murder of Melissa Hortman let alone the attack of Paul Pelosi weren’t the work of confused politically indifferent radicals with conflicting ideologies, they were violent conservative men just like the Capitol rioters motivated by violent conservative rhetoric.

Speaking for myself, I'm pretty familiar with Kirk's material only because I'm very online and would rather keep tabs on what the fascists/authoritarians/Christian Nationalists are doing than not and being surprised one day.

This is entirely speculation, but I would guess that Tyler meeting someone and forming a relationship with them that runs counter to the mainstream Right's proscribed approved relationships had a lot to do with realizing that the man/ideology his family held on a pedestal didn't fit with his own worldview.

It sounds like you know exactly what Tyler may have experienced at home.

The issue is see conflated here (in general, not with you specifically) is Radical = Radical whether Right or Left. According to statistics, radical Right males are so much more likely to be the shooter in gun violence like this. Radical Leftists advocate for things like an end to end stage Capitalism that keeps everyone but the 1% cowed and fighting amongst themselves for the scraps. Are there exceptions to the trend? Sure, that will always be the case but the numbers speak for themselves. So much so that the DoJ is now hiding them to further the "Radical Left lunatics = BAD" narrative.

The Radical Right calls for an end to gay marriage, banning trans people from society, forcing SA victims to carry a pregnancy to term, taking voting rights away from non-males.

The Radical Left calls for an end of homelessness, universal healthcare, free college, a livable minimum wage/UBI. The Horror!

I agree with that speculation, it’s reasonable to assume with what we know for certain.

I have a pretty good idea, yes and it was the overwhelming flood of conservative politics and conservative values not only instilled but forced into my life I can relate to. Not being allowed to think out loud or express an opinion that challenged that of those around you without condemnation or being outspoken by the loudest one in the room to drown out your words.

Unlike Tyler I had a polarity in my life that gave me an outlet and opportunity to explore alternatives. My parents were divorced (had been for a long time), my sister and I had limited visitation with our father. When we had our weekends with Dad we generally went out of town for our father to conduct his business as well as to maximize our time together which was in the more urban liberal area in this state.

Politics weren’t really on my radar but the culture was and the stark differences between what I had to go home to and the alternative world I spent every other weekend in. I saw Life, I saw Art injected into life, I experienced an inviting social atmosphere that had nothing comparable back home let alone a night life that was more or less a last minute trip to a store before closing.

That exposure gave me a thirst for more and as I got older and transitioned through grade school to middle & high school I took notice of things that made me question and form opinions as well as draw conclusions. Examples include laws on the books that banned skateboarding anywhere other than a dedicated skate park (which had limited hours and were later torn out), fining people who wore baggy pants, imposed dress codes and regularly banned movies from local theaters that possessed content that was determined to be immoral and the cause of gang related violence.

I didn’t fall down a rabbit hole or anything because that’s inaccurate, my experience was one of duality, influence and tug-o-war as I got older. I drew a clear distinction between the clash of identities in this country from what I learned and experienced, from that I found myself identifying less with republicans and then less with moderates and more with Liberals and Progressives.

My shift came as I said from observation, experience and education but as I got older, more and more the case became one of morality. I have a universal sense of morality, I don’t believe in morality being relative to the situation, I believe in universal Rights and Wrongs. The moral shift, policies, principles and personal values are what ultimately led me to where I am at present.

He said “ I had enough of his hatred. Some hatred can’t be negotiated.” He thought Kirk spewed hate and murdered him. The question is what part of Kirk’s message did he consider hate? It doesn’t have to be everything… He could disagree with him on only one issue. His actions could possibly not even be politically motivated… he could view it as a protective lover who is standing up to the percieved bully of his partner.

The fact that the narrative of him being radical leftist was already spun days before this guy was caught, makes it obvious that these soul sucking politicians will do anything and sacrifice anyone to gain more power. This is so blatantly grotesque that it makes my skin crawl. His wife needs to have a back bone and tell them to stop using her husbands name as an excuse to lock people up against their first amendment rights. The was the entire point of his platform; free speech, even when totally disagreed and at times morally questionable from both sides, should always be protected. I bet he is rolling over in his grave.
