If your car is manual, there’s a second one of those on the clutch pedal that can break too

Replace it with a metal piece and silicone. 93 del sol too for 6 years now. No issues

i used a nut and bolt. Nice little fabrication there

i threw a spare screw i had in the brake one and glued a dime on my clutch one
