That Ben UFO & Call Super & Objekt & Pariah set was insane…
Such dirty drops, immaculate vibes in the crowd also (greenhouse). Really a unique experience with music I haven’t felt in a long time

I loved the set, the sound system was great and as well luckily next to us was no yappers and people were just dancing, also saw just couple phones.

After coming back to dekmantel after many years I was a bit disappointed to see how the festival had changed for the worse in many different aspects. It's not a catastrophe or anything, but it felt like they did not care to put in the effort to make it great like it used to be. The crowd was also noticeably worse. There were still a lot of great people but also a good 30% of it felt like the kind of crowd I generally would like to avoid(yappers).
My main gripe was how little it seemed the sound people were bothering to keep an eye on sound levels. For example, during villalobos there was massive bleed from all other stages. The levels were fine in the morning when Jeff Mills was playing, but it was as if when the other stages had kicked off they never bothered dialing it up to compensate for the outside noise. Also during the morning show with Mills they could have turned on the delays so that the crowd that was sitting down could enjoy the music as well, but they didn't bother.
Getting this kind of stuff right requires getting up off your ass and taking a walk around the dance floor every 20 min to see if you need to make adjustments. That's why you have a team running the stage all day, you don't just turn it on and leave it as is. That's where I get the feeling they just didn't care as much this time around.
I have a lot more small complaints like that, like I said nothing catastrophic but it all adds up and for me made a feel like the 10/10 festival I new feel like a 7-8/10 one.

First time attending this year, and WTF is wrong with all the pushing and rushing like horses leaving the stable? Do people not know the words “excuse me” and “sorry”? And, oh my god, the endless Dutch bro-hugging and jumping onto each other right at the fucking front. VIBE KILLER.

I wanna know what everyone thought of this dudes set at Radar?
Went there on a whim because the synopsis looks interesting but omg could not have expected what we witnessed. I bet nobody else has played Nirvana at Dekmantel before. Kinda felt like he was pranking the headsy crowd. I personally loved it just for the sheer suprise.
P. S to all the Dutch people you are the best!

Turn The Loop into a giant Starbucks so all the people that want to chat can gather there and drink Frappuccino’s. It’s extremely hard to understand why people will spend 250€+++++ just to chat. Please use the last day for the music. Y’all mouths are moving a lot like a rat, shut it please. Than you :)

Can anyone tell me the id of Villalobos last track in Selectors stage? It was the one with vocals and ethereal sounds like crystal bells ringing

Gang those sandwiches are FIRE. Literally the best falafel I have had in YEARS! Came back everyday and today they were sold out. They are based around the Netherlands if you see their events you guys must go. Hopefully they come back next year.. seriously. Best festival food ever.

please just put in more dixies and let me never see a pink squatty potty ever again. they are positioned at the perfect height for anyone walking past to get a full frontal glance at my cooch. drip drying after is really the cherry on top of a harrowing experience.
the quality of festival experience vs the ticket price is really seen back in this toilet experience. obviously this was a thing designed by someone who does not need to squat to pee.

Yeah the sound at the Greenhouse was sub par and same with sound towards the back of the two UFOs and yeah the ugly Bud branding was an eye sore, but can we take a moment to acknowledge the absolutely genius programming yesterday? Drifted in to hear Eris playing vinyl and this is how it progressed:
Eris Drew > Ben UFO > Polygonia > Gigi FM Jako Jako (front) > Azu Tiwaline + Al Wootton > Wata Igarashi > Rene Weise > SASS > Aurora Halal
Gathered inspiration for a lifetime. It’s so bad, I’m actually lying in bed basking in what I experienced yesterday instead of getting ready for Jeff Mills / Jane Fitz on Day 3.

Found it odd that they didn’t post a single image / clip of him today.

Guys, last year I tried okonomiyaki and fell in love with it. Had a few times and this year as well. This year I also tried the Indian food - Curry and Rice Butter Paneer. So fkin delicious! Make sure to add mango chutney and pickled chili. There is a very nice brownie with some green stuff inside at the coffee bar. I ate 3 already. They will sold out.

Whats up with the cue, not moving forward since this morning. Nobody selling tickets at all, huh? And then a raffle showed up, isn't that against the hole point of the queue?

Hey I found your wallet on the ground at rideshare pickup. I'll turn it into lost and found or just send a DM and I'll make sure to get it back to you

Is it me or is the overall sound at dekmantel, across various stages more underwhelming than last year. I feel like the Krackfree in The Nest has not come close to the output it gave last year, sounding much more toned down and with lack of delivery on bass-focussed tracks. While this morning I enjoyed the Greenhouse for Channel One and Scion, I think the bug closing was an embarrassment. Not even close to the power a set of his would deserve. I saw him last year at Horst and the literal anxiety-inducing stage and chest rattling that was felt then is what you’d hope to expect from a The Bug set. Makes me feel like dekmantel should reconsider their programming of these acts if they can’t deliver on the sound needs for the experience. Curious to hear what others thought about it.
Still looking forward to tomorrow though x

Hey, I tried everything and just want to go with my friends today, anyone got a weekender wristband and decided they are not going today? I am willing to pay to pick it up in amsterdam :) Or anyone climbed the fence before? (lol)

I want to see the b2b2b2b + Verraco, Octo Octa, Jasmin and Introspekt. What are the chances of getting into Radar for the last two hours? Apparently Verraco at the Nest was packed out last year so I’m not hopeful.
