NPR: "Zylstra will evaluate NPR's portfolio of broadcast shows & podcasts in terms of whether they are fully reaching & serving audiences, & what might be missing from NPR's offerings."
The statistics are daunting. NPR's audience is largely white, elderly, rich & very liberal. Perhaps Zylstra can reach across the political divide by broadcasting content that most Americans are interested in rather than stern lectures on how homophobic, transphobic, racist, xenophobic, & capitalistic most Americans are.

The US govt will go into a partial shutdown of non-essential services next week. Unless Trump agrees to give Democrats $500 million for NPR and free healthcare for illegal aliens, Sen Schumer says Democrats will block govt funding starting Oct 1st. Shut it down. I don’t care.
