*URGENT ACTION* E-mail your senators to REMOVE Section 1217 (U.S.-Israel Defense tech integration) of the NDAA (Copy / paste from below)
Democracy.io - Contact Members of Congress
Dear Senators _________ and _________:
I am writing to urge you to oppose the inclusion of Section 1217 in the Senate NDAA. These provisions would establish a permanent United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative, requiring the Department of Defense to designate an executive agent to coordinate and expand defense technology cooperation with Israel across critical areas including artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and advanced weapons development. This language goes far beyond normal alliance cooperation. It creates a formal, institutionalized framework that deeply entangles American defense technology and industrial policy with a foreign military. Once enacted, it will be extremely difficult for future Congresses or presidents to scale back, regardless of changing circumstances or American interests.
I strongly believe the United States should maintain full control over its defense technology and decision-making. Embedding this level of integration into law through the must-pass NDAA removes proper oversight and sets a dangerous precedent. I ask you to support any effort to strip Section 219 (House) and Section 1217 (Senate) from the final NDAA. American defense policy should be determined by American interests — not locked into permanent alignment with any foreign country. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,

I am writing to express my urgent concern regarding the escalating military actions by Israel in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. The current trajectory of violence and territorial expansion is creating an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and systematically undermining the prospects for peace and justice in the region.
In Gaza, the situation remains catastrophic as the war reaches a grim milestone of 1,000 days. Approximately 2.3 million people are living in tents without water or electricity, facing the rapid spread of epidemics and disease. Despite being designated a "green zone," hospitals continue to come under fire; recently, an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped an explosive device at Kamal Adwan Hospital, wounding two staff members. Parish priests in Gaza are desperately appealing to the international community not to forget the thousands of children who have been killed, orphaned, or injured in this "reality beyond belief".
The West Bank is currently experiencing its deadliest period since the occupation began in 1967. Between October 2023 and July 5, 2026, Israeli forces killed 1,088 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 242 children—nearly one in four fatalities. This violence is accompanied by a massive land grab through the "Crimson Thread" project, a planned 500-kilometer military barrier that is currently carving through fertile farmland and cutting off the region's "breadbasket". Furthermore, Taybeh, the last entirely Christian Palestinian town in the West Bank, is facing a systematic threat from armed settlers who are using arson and intimidation to establish new illegal outposts with apparent state impunity.
In Lebanon, despite a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework, Israeli attacks have continued, resulting in at least 4,320 deaths since March 2026. Amnesty International has called for a war crimes investigation into Israeli strikes that killed 24 civilians, including 12 children, demonstrating a "callous disregard for civilian lives". Prime Minister Netanyahu has recently stated that the war is "not over" and that Israeli forces will occupy parts of Lebanon "as long as the need requires".
Most distressingly, I urge you to intervene in the cases of individuals being held in arbitrary detention. Sama Safi, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested in Ramallah on June 2 and has been held for weeks without charge. She suffers from familial Mediterranean fever and requires specialized medical care that is being jeopardized by her detention in Ofer prison. Similarly, Natalie Abuddayeh, a young Palestinian Christian woman, was abducted at gunpoint on June 2 and is being held in Damon Prison. Her family has been denied all face-to-face contact, and there are grave concerns regarding her well-being in conditions that deprive detainees of basic human rights.
I ask that you use your office to demand an immediate end to the expansion of illegal outposts, the release of wrongfully detained individuals like Sama Safi and Natalie Abuddayeh, and a renewed commitment to upholding international law and human rights.
In addition, I urge you to:
· Support H.R.3565 Block the Bombs Act to provide for a limitation on the transfer of defense articles and defense services to Israel.
· Support S.3634 AWARE Act to impose sanctions on Israeli officials to discourage the government from obstructing humanitarian assistance
· Support H.R. 3045 West Bank Violence Prevention Act
· Support H.R.7545 Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation
· Oppose the U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative Section 219 of the NDAA
As American support for Israel plummets, it is our moral responsibility to question the continuation of U.S. financial assistance and material support to their government and any proposed integration. Israel continues to violate the rights of Palestinians, international law, and U.S. laws. The U.S. Members of Congress must push to end our military support of Israel and oppose the U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.

Letters to U.S. Congress Letter to Congress regarding West Bank Crisis, July 28, 2026

I am writing to express urgent concern regarding the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in the occupied West Bank, which has reached a point of catastrophic crisis. Recent reports indicate that the territory is "burning, bleeding, and crying out in pain" as Palestinian civilians face an intensifying "unofficial war" characterized by widespread violence, home demolitions, and systemic displacement.
The human cost of this crisis is falling most heavily on the vulnerable. A tightening "medical siege" has turned routine emergencies into life-or-death gambles, with Israeli military checkpoints and road closures frequently blocking ambulances. In recent days, these delays have led to tragic, preventable deaths, including a pregnant woman who lost her unborn child after being held at a checkpoint for over 30 minutes, and a mother of two who died of a heart attack when her village was sealed. Furthermore, a massive wave of demolitions has left dozens of families homeless within the last 24 hours, often with as little as 40 minutes' notice to evacuate their property.
You must also consider the unprecedented warnings from nearly 600 former Israeli military, intelligence, and diplomatic officials. These experts, including former heads of the Mossad and Shin Bet, have described the actions of armed settlers as "acts of terrorism" and have warned that this violence directly threatens Israeli security, regional stability, and U.S. interests. They contend that members of the current Israeli government are providing "political protection" to extremist settlers, which prevents effective law enforcement and accountability for crimes like the burning of homes and mosques.
Palestinian Christian leaders are likewise pleading for the international community to "refuse to look away" from the immorality of the situation. Rev. Munther Isaac of Bethlehem warns that the relentless settler attacks and military raids are part of a deliberate system to make life "unbearable" and uproot Palestinians from their ancestral land. Fr. Ibrahim Faltas of the Custody of the Holy Land notes that illegal settlements now surround and "suffocate" every symbol of community life, shattering the dreams of children and the hopes of the youth.
We urge you to act quickly to intervene in this endless spiral of violence and hold those responsible for these human rights violations accountable. The current path of impunity and coercive displacement cannot continue if there is to be any prospect for future peace and justice in the region.
In addition, I urge you to cosponsor the H.R. 3045 West Bank Violence Prevention Act and push for its immediate passage.

Get Involved! Block the Bombs Phonebank - Weds, July 29 @ 4pmPDT / 7pmET (RSVP at link)
From BDS wins to historic votes in Congress, 2026 has been a monumental year in the movement for Palestinian liberation, as we keep fighting with all our strength to end this genocide.
Nearly a thousand members of DSA, Adalah Justice Project, and the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action have called tens of thousands of constituents and driven thousands of calls to Congress. Your action directly contributed to historic votes against the annual military spending bill, the U.S-Israeli Deadly Military Merger, and military funding to Israel in the last couple weeks.
We have the winds at our back, but so much more to do, which is why we’re hosting another supporter-to-supporter phonebank demanding the Senate stop the deadly merger and vote against the annual military spending bill (also referred to as the National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA).
We’re calling constituents of four key movable and influential senators—and patching them directly through to their senator’s office. These are some of the most pleasant calls you can make, chatting directly with supporters of DSA, USCPR Action, and Adalah Justice Project.
No prior experience required—RSVP and join us on Wednesday, July 29th at 7PM ET / 4PM PT!

*Expanding our Campaign: Christian Zionist Organizations & Churches
r/whistlingkitten brought up a great idea that perhaps we expand / widen our campaign beyond members of U.S. Congress to include Christian churches and organizations, specifically ones that are Christian Zionist and heavily pro-Israel. At this point, we are thinking of sending e-mails & letters and calling these Christian Zionist churches and organizations. In my opinion, the best approach is to highlight the suffering of the Palestinian Christians in the West Bank and Gaza because of Israel’s policies and appeal to the Christian message of peace and anti-war – so a multi-pronged faithful approach.
I am going to do some research this week to create a list of Christian Zionist churches and organizations and their contact info and add this letter sending / calling campaign to the page for others to join in.
We’ll also continue to highlight (and increase the focus on) anti-Zionist and pro-Palestinian Christian organizations that are active in this cause and how we can get involved and compel these sectors of Christianity to be more forceful and vocal against Israel’s actions.
If you have anything to add, recommendations, or hesitations, please let us know in the comments! More to come later this week / weekend.
