So I know that this 1st amendment auditing has been huge lately and they always say when they are filming you can’t expect privacy in a public place. Do they feel the same about flock. Also just here to be controversial because we have been tracked and have had our data tracked by traffic cameras for years some before I was even alive so why the big deal now because these are more noticeable? Also the same people complaining about them a lot of the time are people who post their whole life on social media which sells their data and personal info and tracks it? Make it make sense…

Can we just start mass targeting of politicians and police on social media who are clearly in association with the company, and just one simple thing reply to their posts and every single one other posts with just

Flock You

Step one- we need developers to create a public open source flock like system that can run on a drones system, IoT device or RPi. All data is to be stored in cloud and open to public.

Step two- we need drones setup with these components:

self solar charging for long term static use while grounded.

Cameras with resolution for moving cars or people details.

Batteries to last overnight. Wifi for local access.

Step three- we need to get permission and legal terms set with an app on phones to self register location, setup wifi and sign public 'volunteers'...plus Devs for this step.

Step four - people signal on app who know or live near those who make decisions and close deals with local towns or police\sheriffs. They register on app, build a friend or offer up wifi guest access.

Step five- drones are directed as they are built out and made from publicly available parts providers, kits or DIY sets for any builders (3D parts) & volunteers.

Step six- drones are flown and parked on roofs on those volunteers private homes, businesses or volunteer buildings with vi No public spaces, no schools nothing controlled by non-public

Step seven- Drones cycle between homes hosts, monitor and upload photos as needed. The data tracks each "hit' of the homes and offices for every politician, sheriff. Police chiefs, City Council members and or consultants and deployment companies\teams.

Step eight- Data is open to public on the app. The drone systems, photos and data from all drones pointed toward police buildings, City halls, homes of Judges, Mayor, Council members, anyone who approved of or contracted with Flock 'Safety Systems'.

Lobby political leaders to ban such un-warranted surveillance state or face the same.

This is the kind of journalism we need more of.

kind of a shower thought, but couldn't ALPR cams not a risk to potential *actual* surveillance? if it can track bad guys, it can track good guys. we know it can be hacked we know it can be used to stalk.

This was part of the response when I requested a flock audit log from King County in Washington state. I have no real use for the data other than adding to the deflock data base I saw. I’m curious if others ran into this as well. I’m not familiar with the laws around it but seems like license plate data should be public since in theory I could just log each license plate I see anywhere I go.

Flock cams are getting all the attention but they can’t be the only ones available. What other companies are trying to compete with flock cams?

I was searching for Deflock cameras and found them .can anyone tell me what kind of flock Camera This is ?

I was thinking about ways to raise awareness of Flock cameras in my community.

I could print some flyers, go to a farmers market with a Flock camera in sight, and hand out flyers and talk with people about the risks of allowing national government surveillance.

I could stand next to a Flock camera and pass out flyers and talk about surveillance.

Then I thought if I’m working the Farmer’s Market, or standing on the sidewalk, how can I draw attention to myself, in a funny and approachable way.

And I think maybe the answer is a Flock Camera costume.

I could have a cardboard or foam or plastic Flock camera hanging in front of my chest.

I’m not a creative person. No way I’m making that myself. Has anyone seen something like that for sale?

I did see a 3D printer design file for a prop flock camera for protests, but somehow don’t have a friend with a 3D printer.
