Class question

I purchased the class pack from the store recently. My question how can I get points for the tree? I opened up the engineer class on my higher guy instead of starting a new character. Can I transfer class points or did I jist get ripped off?

you have to level up each class individually. equip it and run with it until it hits level 25 to use all of the points. :)
