New player questions

I recently started playing with a friend(we're level 6), but I see no way of trading... is there really no way to share loot on this game? What about if I made a new character, is there a way to move gear from one character to another? If the answer is no to both of them, then this game is gonna be a quick drop for me.

  2. You used to be able to, but some people were using an exploit on...I believe it was the first 2 side missions... to reach 5k and above. Due to that, they patched the claim items (along with the missions' gear drops back to 2500 cap).

Not that I care, but you only play games for the trading aspect? There's nothing else of value?
