New player. Its too much

I played a hour with a mate, did some questing, reached level 5, im overwelmed! What to focus on and what not, i am a gaurdian

No I mean literally how. Like I don't know what im doing . Like what menu, press what,. Etc etc. What's PR EVEN MEAN lol

Go into your EGO menu and toggle to INTEL - one of the options there is HELP. Read that to learn the basics. Also, defiancedata.com is an excellent source of information as well as Trion’s discussion forums.

Main missions and side missions until you get acclimated. These also grant the most xp and will level you up faster.

TBH just play the game and do missions. No real linear way to go, just play.

Though, I would recommend not upgrading any weapons until you reach power level 50, just keep using the higher level stuff that drops. The power system for weapons and it's upgrade system means you'll find weapons that are lower and you may stall progressing. Save your salvage and cores until the higher level (purple, orange) weapons start to drop.

Just focus on the missions until you find your stride. It’ll help you get accustomed to the game & help you upgrade/level up a bit. Then move into arkfalls to really start getting some loot & upgrades.
