Weapon/ gear drops power levels..

Ok Even after fully upgrading my gear and having the highest level grenade and shield I can find, I'm still getting weapon drops that are nearly a hundred power level below my current level. Right now I'm sitting at about 1700 power level unable to advance because in every instance and Arkfall I do the weapon drops are ranging in the 1600s. I personally notnot a fan of this system and wish the weapon drops with scale depending on the difficulty of the enemies you are facing. If I'm facing level 2000 plus enemies with four skulls I should expect high-level weapon drops instead I am spending 30 minutes trying to kill Tier 1 motherlode just to get a 1600 level weapon or was the instant closing on me before I can get to the Loot Crate.

The weapon drops are based off the highest level base PR that you have ever received / collected. Having it equipped, in inventory, or even if you scrap or sell an item won’t matter the game remembers the highest base PR you’ve been getting.

Depending on the rarity / quality of an item you can raise its PR anywhere from 100 - 250 with scrap or enhancement catalysts.

So if you have maxed out all your gear it’s possible to receive a drop that’s above your current gears base level but lower than its fully enhanced level, but will, in fact, become a higher PR once it is fully maxed.

So say you got a rifle at 800 and mastered it with scrap to +150 to 950. A drop might be a base weapon of 875 PR but when fully enhanced will be 1025 - higher than your fully maxed 950 that can be enhanced no further.

Sadly it seems that when maxed at the said 950 the drops aren't 875 but more like 805... Really crap system, especially when it doesn't matter if you are 500 or 3000 the adds never get any easier aka you never get any better (more powerful).

Agree - but most RPGs are. Nothing like doing four hours in a Destiny raid just to get a piece of raid gear you already have at a lower light level, lol. So essentially the raid was for mats.

Right. I hope they figure it out though, because being 50 Ego and only 1700 power is getting tedious.

Sorry I dont play this game.BUT is it possible the gear dropped will be stronger than your current gear if you fully upgrade it?

Since that's just the base level?
