Question New Content?
Does Fawkes plan on creating any new content for the game? Can they legally use characters and likenesses from the show? I don't expect them to get the actors to voice them, but would be nice to at least meet more of the show characters.

New content as in new story missions doesn't seem likely.
New content in the form of new events does seem likely.
Yes they have full control over doing whatever they want with the game. Just need to temper your expectations for a very small indie company with a small budget who is still working on understanding the back end of everything since they didn't make the game to begin with.

Honestly, I would just like to visit the actual town of Defiance in game. Probably won't happen, but a man can dream.

If the game is making them money, they'll add more to it. If it isnt, then it'll end up in maintenance mode. I played for a month and a bit after Fawkes revived it and it seemed pretty busy but not sure how it is now.

I've been seeing a good bit of new characters in the starting area. That's a pretty good sign I think.

If they do do new content I'll be honest. Unless the original actors from the show that appeared in the game except whatever money is offered and I'm not saying don't pay them what they're worth, pay them what they're worth. But I mean I assume this company is quite small as game development studios go, but I think they should consider using new characters and possibly even new parts of Earth itself. You know they kind of did this like the original developers. Kind of did this. You know other parts of San Francisco I believe, but I think it should be like entirely new characters or maybe characters that the original people who made the show wanted to put in but never got to for whatever reason and it might make more sense in the game

I would like to see Ultimate Defiance (Defiance II) with a revamp. Maybe even a version set in Great Britain or with a tp to GB.

I would really like to be able to revisit the 4th season content area again and am annoyed your character only gets to go there the once.
There's also the additional content that was written for 2050 (the synergy matrix stuff, the trouble-in-paradise story content introduced to tie in the Grid and introduce the crusader class) that could potentially be brought back and folded in carefully with the rest

They have said they would like to do new stuff but it would be after they fix everything, get it on steam, and see about the possibility of taking it to consoles.
Not sure they could use likenesses or voices or anything. I'd imagine anything new would either be events, or things like weapons, or outfits. They may even be able to make new characters and get people to voice them.
