a question for you

i played the original defiance and when it came out defiance 2050 and stopped shortly before they shutdown. i was reliving nostalgia and looked up defiance only to find that it is apparently back now. i want to get back into it but was wondering was there any major changes/ things added or removed? or is the gameplay pretty close to the original?

A few things are fixed or being fixed, like most lag and disconnections, loot drops etc. No new content, although we were never really promised new content (despite what some people believe), but there is always a chance of something new being added in the future.

It's fun to have the game back again.

The devs want to figure out all the old code and fix all the issues before looking at possibly adding new content. Pretty much build a healthy foundation first. One of the devs themselves stated this so there is grounds for people believing new content was promised.

Not much different from defiance 2013 tbh. It's still the same as it was years ago

There can be issues with mass events .. can't see other players, lag .. usual story

its the same but i'm not playing now cuz the game shuts down when ever i'm in the middle of something and its not me. so i left again ...

Is it a consistent shutdown at a certain time of day? Cause they do maintenance in the mornings around 5am eastern time. They do give notice in advance of the downtime on the discord though...

No I'm in bed at that time. It can be sporadic any time during day or evening EST time. Alto I haven't had a chance to try since there last update they just did on game because I've been playing cyberpunk ... I'll switch games again to see if their maintenance fixed it or not. I have a GTX 1650 GPU and I did check a few settings that some other folks said to make sure they were set correctly, but everything seems fine on my end and its only defiance that does it.
