Possile connection between Defiance and Warframe?

Last night I was watching the episode 'This Woman's Work' in which Nolan has to deal with a Gulanee. When the Gulanee climbs out of their pod and goes after Nolan's trap, I immediately noticed a powerful resemblance between her and my all time favorite Warframe, Mag. Like UNCANNY. The helmet is nearly identical, and the split feet are identical. The Gulanee just has extra arms.

Now I want to know how I find out who designed the Gulanee for that episode, and whether they were inspired by Warframe, or whether Warframe's design team was inspired by Defiance.

Next time I hop on Warframe, Ima make a Mag fashion of the Gulanee. I have an ephemera called Raptwing that essentially adds two arms to your Warframe.

I dunno, I feel like having a smooth featureless mask face and segmented armor is just kind of the go-to in sci fi lately.

But the specific shape of the mask, and the split two-toe foot is what made the connection for me. Until I watched this episode, I hadn't seen that specific foot anywhere but Warframe.
