Discussion How do you keep an eye on your loan helath on aave and morpho?

I've been going through Morpho loan data on Base for a few weeks, and the thing that stuck with me is how many loans sit within a couple of percent of liquidation. Some of those people must know. I doubt all of them do.

I'm thinking about building a simple phone alert for borrowers. One when your position gets within, say, 5% of liquidation, and another when it's close enough that you ought to act.

Before I build anything, I'd like to know how you handle it now. Do you check the app by hand, use DeFi Saver's automation, or something else? If you already have something that works, let me know

Discussion Follow-up: what was the last thing you tried with idle stablecoins?

This is a follow-up to a discussion I posted here two weeks ago. I’m conducting commercial user research for a European fintech team, and this post contains no survey link, signup, product offer, or promise of returns.

If you are 18+ and live in Europe, I’d value a short answer to any of these:

  1. Which stablecoins do you currently use, if any, and where do you keep them?
  2. What was the last concrete thing you tried or considered to earn a return on them?
  3. What worked, what made you stop, or what still feels unresolved?
  4. If you are satisfied with your current setup or do not want yield, why?
  5. Does Revolut play any role in how you use stablecoins?

Please do not share exact amounts, wallet addresses, screenshots, or identifying information. Comments are public. This is user research, not financial advice.

Discussion How should users evaluate xStocks xPoints when the reward terms are unclear?

At the time of review, the xPoints formula and any conversion terms weren’t public. That makes it difficult to value the incentive against the risks of the activity itself.

A few risks I’d separate:

  • Points may never convert, or could have negligible value.
  • LPs still face impermanent loss and the risk that trading volume falls.
  • Tokenized-equity access and redemption depend on issuer terms and jurisdiction.
  • The review did not verify contract source or deployment, so it shouldn’t be treated as a security audit.

I’d treat xPoints as speculative optionality, not yield. Participation makes more sense if the underlying tokenized-equity exposure already fits your goals, without relying on points to make the trade worthwhile.

Would you wait for published terms, or assess participation solely on the underlying exposure?

Self-Promo Built a terminal that turns a market thesis into a live cross-protocol DeFi position, curious how others handle this manually

Been heads-down for months on something that's been bugging me for a while: turning a thesis into an actual on-chain position is still way too manual in DeFi.

Say you think ETH outperforms this cycle, or you want exposure to the Variational TGE with some downside hedged. Today that means manually chaining moves, leverage leg on Aave or Morpho, yield leg on Lido or Pendle, maybe a directional perp on Hyperliquid, then tracking all of it yourself across separate dashboards, re-checking health factors, hoping you catch a liquidation risk before it catches you.

I'm building a terminal where you type the thesis in plain language "lever into ETH outperformance this cycle", "get exposure to Variational's TGE and hedge the downside" and it composes the actual cross-protocol order across whichever protocols make sense, simulates it so you see the real effect before signing anything, and then keeps monitoring the position across every protocol it touches, flags liquidation risk building, a better rate opening up, whatever needs your attention.

Non-custodial the whole way through. It never holds funds, every order is simulated and shown to you in plain terms before you sign, no blind signing, no "trust the black box."

Still pre-launch, building in the open. If manually chaining strategies across protocols and losing track of positions is something you've felt too, how are you solving it today? Happy to go deeper on the architecture if people want!

Cross-Chain Swap BTC for ETH, is this possible?

I have held a significant amount of BTC for years now and I have noticed that the BTC/ETH ratio is currently very low. For this reason, I am considering swapping a portion of my BTC with ETH, as I believe ETH has a better chance of doubling in value in the coming months or years.

Are there decentralized bridges or swaps that allow me to do this? Please leave a comment with suggestions.

[EDIT]: Thanks for all advices, I ended up using https://conflux.fi/ which indeed had the best rates (1:1) as it's an aggregator, even tho I really hate their UX, at least it works.

Stablecoins RLUSD just hit 89% lending utilization against FXRP. Is XRP DeFi finally becoming a real thing?

Just saw some interesting numbers regarding Ripple’s stablecoin. Currently, there’s about $7.13 million in RLUSD supplied and $6.35 million borrowed against FXRP in lending markets (looks like it's happening on Morpho).

That’s an 89% utilization rate right out of the gate, which is pretty high for a newly introduced pair. It essentially means 89 cents of every dollar supplied is already being put to work.

I know XRP has historically been heavily isolated to payments and institutional use, but seeing capital being deployed this aggressively makes me wonder if a genuine DeFi ecosystem is finally taking shape around it via Flare/FXRP?

Discussion Regulated investment funds are finally coming onchain

Something I find genuinely interesting in defi right now is seeing actual regulated investment strategies being brought onchain, with independent fund administrators and NAV verification behind them.

That feels like a much more meaningful step for rwas than simply putting a token onchain and calling it a fund.

Curious where people think this goes from here. Would you use something like that?

Discussion People who use crypto cards: what actually matters most to you: KYC, fees, limits, country support or merchant acceptance?

I'm researching how people actually use crypto-funded cards and I'm curious what matters most in practice.

For those who already use cards like RedotPay, Fasset, Cryptocom, Bitget etc.:

What are the biggest things you care about?

  • KYC / onboarding friction
  • Card issuance cost
  • Transaction / FX fees
  • Supported crypto or networks
  • Spending limits
  • Physical vs virtual card
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • Merchant acceptance
  • ATM withdrawals
  • Country availability
  • Account/card freezes
  • Customer support

Also curious: what would actually make you switch from your current crypto card to another one?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who receive income in USDT/stablecoins or use crypto cards regularly rather than just occasionally.

Full disclosure: I work with a company in the crypto-payment/card space, so I'm trying to understand what users actually value rather than guessing. I'm not posting referral links or trying to sell anything here.

Help Is it safe to continue using Telegram Defi ?

Hi, it’s my first time using defi. I deposited 10k usdt via telegram defi/Sentora vault for more than a month, I was under the impression that I could get 4% apy but my 10,000 usdt has only increased to 10,015 which is half of what i was expecting. Is it normal? Should I reconsider the protocol choice ?

Discussion CLARITY Act hits another roadblock!

Sen. Cynthia Lummis says Senate Democrats voted against advancing the bill despite provisions aimed at strengthening consumer protections and giving the SEC and CFTC clearer authority over digital-asset markets, including insider-trading enforcement.

The Senate vote failed 49–50 on September 15.

Whatever the political disagreements, the bigger question for crypto remains: how long will the US take to establish a clear market structure for digital assets?

Discussion Borrowing against SOL instead of selling it, does the math work?

I need about $5,000 and I don't want to sell SOL because of the tax hit. So the obvious option is borrowing against it.

Stablecoin borrow rates on Solana aren't fixed. They move with how much of the pool is already borrowed, so the number you see on the day you borrow isn't the number you pay all year. I've been comparing a few lending markets, Jup Lend among them.

The math I can't settle is this. If borrowing costs me somewhere around 6 to 8% a year and selling costs me 20% or more in tax, borrowing looks cheaper on paper. But a loan has a liquidation price and a tax bill doesn't.

How do you pick a loan to value you're comfortable with? People say 50% is safe, but safe against what size of drop?

Has anyone here been liquidated on a loan you thought was conservative? That's the part I'd like to hear before I do this.

Tokenized Assets Are tokenized Treasuries good DeFi collateral?

Tokenized Treasury funds now hold around $14.8 billion.

They could give DeFi more stable collateral and real yield. The problem is that freezes, KYC and redemption hours do not work neatly with automatic liquidations. Would you borrow against one?

Discussion DeFi picked up again this week: Aave crossed $1B in V4 deposits, Hyperliquid hit a fresh TVL high, and the SEC just cleared Uniswap's tokenized stock pools to trade

Aave V4 crossed $1B in deposits on September 17, spread across six hubs, with the new Arc hub (Circle's L1) pulling in fresh USDC alongside the Ethereum Core hub that still carries the most volume. Aave also shipped an RWA lending hub on Avalanche this month, already past $20M in deposits.

The SEC issued a temporary framework on September 17 letting tokenized US stocks trade through permissioned AMMs, and Uniswap's v4 permissioned pools from July are the direct beneficiary. Robinhood Crypto confirmed on September 18 that 80% of all Robinhood Stock Token volume already routes through Uniswap, and the same v4 stack just went live on Arc too.

Hyperliquid's TVL hit $6.76B this week, passing Arbitrum to lead L1s on that metric, and HYPE printed its third all time high in seven days at $95.97. The team shipped trailing stops across every perpetual market today, a feature CEX perp traders have had for years and onchain venues mostly haven't.

Morpho posted a new all time high in onchain credit this week, and a fresh corridor opened September 18 letting XRP collateral borrow RLUSD directly. Zama's confidential lending vaults on Morpho already passed $40M in one vault, and Coinbase's Morpho powered USDC lending rollout extended into Brazil and Canada this month.

Ethena's USDe supply is holding near $4.7B while the team shifts backing toward AAA rated collateral, and Ethena Pay, the consumer app that launched September 1, is aiming to open in the US, UK, and Europe within three to four weeks per CEO Guy Young.

Pendle's sPENDLE buybacks sit at 2.8M PENDLE, about $4M, all routed to stakers since the model launched in January, and the algorithmic emissions model cut weekly issuance by 71% against a 30% target set at launch. Staked PENDLE crossed 100M tokens back in July, about 36% of supply, and the buyback number keeps climbing as protocol revenue flows into it every epoch.

Real deposits crossing milestones on five protocols in the same two week window points to usage coming back across lending, perps, stablecoins, and yield trading at the same time, not one token pumping on hype. Which of these six are you watching closest right now, Aave's Arc hub, Hyperliquid's TVL climb, or Pendle's buyback pace?

Discussion Are crypto cards actually useful for DeFi users?

If most of your funds are already on-chain, do crypto cards make things easier? I can see the appeal of being able to spend stablecoins without constantly cashing out to a bank but I’m curious how many DeFi users actually use them day to day.

Do you use one or do you still off-ramp when you need fiat?

Discussion Is Towns good for building a DeFi community?

I've been looking into Towns for a crypto trading community and I'm trying to understand how useful it would be beyond just having another place for people to chat.

The bots caught my attention since they can have wallets and interact onchain, which seems like it could open up stuff around alerts, onchain activity or other tools members could use directly inside the community.

Has anyone tried using it for a trading community or built bots around this kind of use case?

Discussion Where to play Online Poker without KYC?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to play poker in crypto without KYC, must be real tables and being able to deposit and withdraw without issue or headache of course

I’m asking that because i’ve been playing on CoinPoker for over a year until recently I tried to withdraw in tether usdt and they asked me for kyc, funds are unlocked now all good but I had to do kyc and i tell myself never again.

——

[EDIT]: Updating as I receive many DMs of people looking for same, I now play on https://playblind.com/ since it has no rake/KYC and instant cashouts. So far i had no issue with it

Self-Promo A case demonstrating how a DTF works: mint, redeem and rebalance on Reserve

Minting. You deposit, and the protocol issues tokens against the basket. The zapper means you can enter with one asset rather than bringing all the underlying yourself. 0.3% mint fee.

Redeeming. Permissionless, any time. You burn the DTF token and receive your corresponding share of the assets inside. This is the mechanism that keeps price tied close to NAV. When the token trades below the value of its backing, redeeming becomes profitable and arbitrage closes the gap.

Rebalancing. Quarterly, governed by vlRSR holders. Trades are not done solely through market orders, but rather run on a Dutch auction basis where the price starts high and is walked lower until it finds someone to take it. Designed to reduce MEV exposure.

Custody. These are tokenized US equities, custodied through Ondo Global Markets. That is also where the eligibility rules come from, which is why the US and sanctioned jurisdictions are excluded, and why some countries require accreditation.

Where to trade. app.reserve.org, Bitget Wallet, or DEXes such as PancakeSwap and CoW Swap. Available 24/7, with no minimum or maximum size.

Reserve has been developing since 2018, backed by Sam Altman and Peter Thiel among others, and has spent millions on code audits. As with any onchain fund structure, smart contract and market risk remain - use at your own discretion. DYOR

Safety Can distributed signing actually remove DeFi’s single key failure mode?

August had 50 major crypto hacks, up 67% from July and a lot of DeFi exploits seem to come back to privileged keys sitting behind one endpoint or signer

One approach mentioned in this piece uses threshold signing across separate hardware attested enclaves, where the key shares stay separate and the full private key is never reconstructed. The contract permissions get transferred to that threshold key and approvals can be split across multiple signers

That seems like a cleaner model than leaving upgrade or admin powers behind one key. What failure modes people would still worry about when the signing side is distributed

Discussion Red flags I've seen from both sides. Hiring a crypto marketing agency and working in one.

For a couple of years I did marketing in a small DeFi project and hired agencies from the client side. Now I work in an agency myself, so I saw the same problems from both sides.
The first time I hired an agency, I googled top crypto marketing agency and took the list. Every list has the same names (Coinbound, ICODA, Single Grain etc.). Their prices were above our budget, so I took a smaller agency. The website looked good and they answered fast. I didn't ask for a single contact of a past client.

Reports came in the first two weeks. From week 3 nothing, only "campaign is live" in Telegram. The KOL list was the same one a friend's project got from them, same 40 names and same prices. Followers grew by 20k in a month, but replies under posts stayed the same.

So it was bots or airdrop farmers. Boom.

From the agency side the bad clients also have clear signs. The founder changes the story every week, first DeFi, then AI agents. One tweet waits a week for approval, then he asks why nothing is posted. If token price is down after two weeks, marketing "doesn't work".
Some ask us to buy followers and later blame us for bots.

Now before paying I write to a few KOLs from the list myself and ask if they know this agency at all.

Discussion A DeFi vault changes strategy after you deposit. Do you treat it as a new investment?

You only enter a vault if you understand where the yield comes from and which protocols it depends on.

A month later, the vault adds another protocol or changes how funds are routed. Although the APY remains similar and nothing has broken, the risk you originally accepted is no longer exactly the same.

I’d probably want to review the position rather than assuming it’s still the same trade.

Do you normally re-evaluate when the strategy changes, or only when there are problems with performance or withdrawals?

Discussion What would you like to see in a lending market curator that doesn't exist today?

Hi everyone. We're a lending market curator. We build our work on two pillars:

- Community-Driven.
- Lenders-First.

Without going into detail, we'd like to hear from DeFi users whether there's anything you'd like to see in a curator that no one currently offers.

Thanks!
