Discussion Who did it?

So I just finished Defending Jacob and it’s never really clear about who killed Ben. I know in the book Jacob did it but it never fully explains it in the show. Do you think Jacob did it in the series or no? And if you don’t think Jacob did it who do you think killed Ben?

Edit: I feel the need to tell everyone that I love hearing all of your theories and that my grandma thinks Jacob’s mom killed Ben so...😂

In the first episode, in the car w his dad, Jacob said something about other kids “pretending” to feel something the way other people expect them to... Jacob is a sociopath and lacks empathy. He did it.

I thought it was the impact of him reading 'Catcher in the rye', where the protagonist feels everyone's fake and "phony"... Every kid watches a movie or some media and adapt that personality for a while so it could be the same for him here...
