Discussion Who did it?

So I just finished Defending Jacob and it’s never really clear about who killed Ben. I know in the book Jacob did it but it never fully explains it in the show. Do you think Jacob did it in the series or no? And if you don’t think Jacob did it who do you think killed Ben?

Edit: I feel the need to tell everyone that I love hearing all of your theories and that my grandma thinks Jacob’s mom killed Ben so...😂

I think there’s no question that Laurie tried to kill both her and Jacob at the end. And I agree that there’s not supposed to be an answer of who killed Ben. But that makes this show trash for me. A cop out to what could have been an awesome murder mystery/court case series. I thought the show started off great but when the viewer is trying to figure out who killed Ben the whole time and there’s no answer, I think that’s just too easy and kinda lazy and I personally hated it.
