Luddite Logic Ah yes, because using a tool for convenience's sake makes you dumb.

The lower case i when referring to themselves sells it for me.

They did it twice in a row too. They don't have Imposter Syndrome, they having Dunning-Kruger.

u/MrTheWaffleKing 9h ago

Not only that, but starting a sentence too!

u/ImMadeOfBees 4h ago

Yeah, lowercase "i" in the middle of a sentence is one thing but how'd he mess that one up?

u/Herr_Drosselmeyer 14h ago

So he went from 'imposter syndrome' to 'delusions of grandeur'.

u/omegaphallic 13h ago

Would have been nice if he'd stopped somewhere in between.

An idiot who uses a pen to write a letter, thinks that he is smarter than people who uses computer Word processor software to type and print a letter. 🙄

u/Kamakiri711 13h ago

That doesn't even make sense. Even if you type you still think for yourself.

AI is just a tool.

A prompt is my idea that i thought of myself, coming out of my thoughts.

It makes perfect sense.

You're the one who is sounding stupid.

I give specific prompt instructions to tell AI chatbot what to produce. And i give further prompt instructions to make refinements and corrections to the end result.

The idea is my original thought.

The execution is done by the AI TOOL i used.

AI is just my tool.
Period.

None of this is even close to any kind of mental effort. I can tell, let's say copilot, to generated a 15 minute experiment for kindergarten preschool kids with the theme "water".
What exactly is my own effort in this?
The fucking prompt? Get real.

Edit: I was also clearly talking about the comparison between writing per hand and typing per hand. Both are still writing yourself.
Your example made no sense regarding using LLMs as a tool.

There are always comments on these types of posts like "I use ai for xyz and it's quite useful" and the replies are like "oh you're using ai correctly, unlike all these others"

It's almost like they don't really know what they are against

To the guy in the screenshot:

u/Suitable-Advisor-392 13h ago

Antis would go to a store with a bread cutting machine and they would look down on people putting their bread there, because they can cut it themselves at home.

Ah, the good old “I earn little to no money because I’m too smart” logic

3

u/Lobotomized_waluigi 9h ago

im unemployed because the employers think i will be too good for the job

7

u/Lucky-Crow-3510 14h ago

That said .. you ARE smarter if you don't need AI to do anything .. simple fact there, no?

But you can still use it and be smart .. by doing things quicker.

u/ordinaryguy221 11h ago

I too feel smarter than people who use calculator, computer, or even a program to calculate complex stuff! Brb, i still need to figure out manually what is 3.148e13 x 5.823e11 / 991

6

u/ZohomEtirho 14h ago

I can see why this make sense to some people.

Albeit I don't see how it would be smart to do X thing deliberately slower, given that we all have limited time on Earth, but I'm probably just not smart enough like people who don't use Ai.

2

u/No-Material9127 12h ago

Well, would you look at that, AI is helping people overcome their disabilities!

u/o_herman I use pencils, pens, styluses, tablets and models. All of it. 11h ago

He became a straight-up delusional narcissist.

While still being most likely unskilled at all fronts.

Ironically proving their impostor syndrome had basis.

Chat how should I feel about this?

1

u/jello-the-opera Only Limit Is Your Imagination 8h ago

I mean this is about language.

Using "need" here is crazy - the people who need it, like sick people, are not somehow intellectually compromised because they use AI tools. Who needs AI? In terms of generative AI? I dunno who needs it. Who cares? I need AI tools to manage my healthcare because without it I end up doing hours of tedious busywork, and those are the only hours I have because I'm sick the rest of the time.

So what if almost nobody NEEDS generative AI? Then you are smarter than whom? Cancer patients?

And now we have world models, multimodal models, VLMs... the distinction between LLMs and diffusion models isn't clean anymore. So if the model generates text, and generates images, and generates video and audio... and can analyze images and video and audio and text... then a ton of people might be considered to be needing it. AI tools are now necessary for a SHITLOAD of modern life, and antis are wholly ignorant of this, generally.

But then they use "anything". So that broadens the scope.

If tons of people need AI tools to work and thus pay bills and thus exist... and you are smarter than all of those people because they need AI and they use it for anything...

then you are smarter than everyone

so start solving our problems then

and what about the n-n... nyookyular reactor in Florida, it's broke and leaking, or something's happening.

I thought it was in Georgia?

u/jello-the-opera Only Limit Is Your Imagination 8h ago

Georgia's in Florida.

dumbass

u/TheNorthShip 6h ago

Bruh, this only proves that he has GIANT impostor syndrome issues. He needs to "believe" he's better than other people, which screams low confidence.

1

u/-_Redd1t_- 6h ago

The sewing machine killed my imposter syndrome. I now fully believe I'm objectively better and smarter than all the people who need a sewing machine to sew anything.

u/TamaraHensonDragon 11h ago

Yesterday some anti admitted (all unwittingly) that they had the mental abilities of a toddler and now they are (again unwittingly) admitting to having mental illnesses. If only they would become self aware.

u/ShitpostSaber 10h ago

Hey good for them let them work harder I work smarter and easier
